I'm waiting on an oline order of some waterproof fabric (PUL) for some dipes for my youngest. She's been in cloth, but my prefold + cover system is failing me miserably. SO I decided to make my own all in ones . These are just fitteds, they were practice to make sure I could do it before the real fabric gets here so don't mind the colors or the crappy stitching LOL. Oh, I got the pattern free online too : http://www.ottobredesign.com/en/print/pdf/vaippa_en.pdf I did modify it a bit though, so here's the pics: This is the first one. I didn't modify the pattern at all on this one and I don't own a serger so I zig zagged the edges (I just LOVE the look of serged dipes). This is the second one, I had to cut about 1/2 inch off the rise and I made the tabs rectangle instead of rounded, I sewed the right sides together then turned and topstiched the front. I added flap back tabs for the laundry and an extra velcro tab in front to make it more adjustable so the new babe can wear them when s/he's a few months old. Perfect fit! I'm going with style #2
wow that looks cool! never heard anyone doing it tho but sounds fun to me, seems to take lots of time, i guess i will stick on something else natural than doing them on my own.. tho yeah .. cool
