Because they stayed true to their form despite two lead changes as well as their style being "out of date" for over 20 years. Slayer, Anthrax, Death Angel... these guys I love because I liked their early stuff, and they remained true to their style throughout their runs - which continue today. I just love music with drive to it. Pick up Death Angel - Art of Dying. Awesome stuff.

I really am loyal to certain bands, and I don't get caught up very often in the flavor of the week. I have everything commercially released by thrax, DA, Savatage, Prong, Warrior Soul, Circle Of Dust and others, as well as loads of Slayer. I also seem to have a lot of obscure stuff no one has ever heard of like Uncle Slam, Damien, INC, Hades, EXE... I could go on. Great stuff IMO...

Oh, and you like the stuff for the same reason people from my generation dug Jimi, Sabbath, and The Stones. We looked where the general public wasn't at the time.

(except slayer, of course. everyone loves slyer) time to bust out bearshare and do some downloading.


you should really check out avenged 7x. not all of it, youll only like their new album "city of evil" all their other stuff is still great, but not youre style cuz of all the growling and barking. but their newest stuff is straight up all american guitar solos with singing (not growling)

i was planning on getting some exodus soon too.


By the way, fuck the general public, what do they know? they listen to mike jones and fitty cen and anything that they hear over and overandoverandoverandover.
