I just baught this the other day, my first real experience with poetry through a microphone. Ginsberg is truly amazing in writing, the speaking makes it truly magnificent.
I don't know...I got the book and was a little disappointed. I thought it was a little boring. I suppose I'm not really serious poetry-minded. I prefer Lennon-style poetry. By that I do NOT mean lyrics, but rather poetry.
ooo iv never heard the audio one...i think that would be cool. i love ginsberg, eventhough Howl (the poem itself) can be a little hard to get through. America is such an awesome poem though
Oh yeah, that segment [of America] where he talks about Time magazine, that's awesome. Jack Kerouac also has some recorded stuff as well.
