taking a glass pipe on airplane

I agree though, I've never seen anyone do that either.

 

I went to wlliamsburg for a week to see a friend. While there, we went to a shop in colonial williamsburg, and I bought a pipe that was around 15" long! it was a "colonial style clay pipe". The best part was the caption on the package - "For the best Virginia weed". I left it in the box and just wrapped it up in my clothes and stuck it in my luggage. This is my only souvinere from VA that wasn't stolen. I took it to my friends today and we smoked out of it. Hours later, it was found on the ground in two pieces. I would have to drive 14 hours to williamsburg to get another one. Well anyway, as long as it's completely clean, there shouldn't be a problem.

 

I actually was in the same situation as you are right now about a month ago. I went to florida with my friend and his parents and got a $40 glass piece. Just know thjat it is in no way shape or form illegal to have a pipe in you luggage, as long as you haven't smoked out of it. Also, don't put it on carry on, put it in your luggage. I also tried to hide mine (just incase) along with a bunch of cds I had brought with me and shampoo bottles. Don't be nervous, half of my trip I spend wondering how the hell I was gonna smuggle my pipe on the plane. Just relax cuz nothin is going to happen. BTW, for future referance for everyone, my friend had one of those backpacks with the speakers in them and they did a bomb search on the thing, so never put anything you might regret in one of those things while flying.

 

Some glass pipes are called "unbreakable" because they are made out of pyrex and not some thin glass. They do break but man they can take a beating... I dropped mine like 7 times before it finally blew inot pieces.(through out 1 year)

Once by mistake i flew to amsterdam with a packed bowl in my carry-on backpack. I had lost the bowl, or so i thought, until i suddenly remembered on the airplane that it was in my backpack (you know, for work). i DO REMEMBER THE (woops) security guy when he xrayed my bag had a funny look on his face but the dude musta been like 20 and from brooklyn and either he didnt care or didnt notice. i thought it would be funny if i happened to be the only dude ever arrested for trying to smuggle pot INTO amsterdam ( if not funny, at least ironic... or is that moronic?) for a brief second i though of ditching the thing in the airplane bathroom but i decided against it. Made it safely to Holland, smoked it, and before heading back, chucked it into a canal. Centuries from now some pimple faced archeology major is gonna find it, but i wont care.

 

That story made me laugh, the last line in particular.

 

i flew from washington to california and back with a glass pipe no problem. that was right after 9-11 too when they searched almost EVERYTHING. i just packed it casually in my suitcase (the luggage not the carry on) i think with some little bottles and other things shaped like my pipe that were identifyable in an xray machine as legitimate items.

as i said, no problem. now, the dubsack was another story heh.

 

My friends brought me a bong as a b-day gift last year. They carried it in the bong bag on there backs. At the check point the security guy looked at it, and he laughed. Theres nothing they can do.


I have also flown and taken glass pipes with me. I just pack them in my luggage. No one has said anything. They are clean though. I wouldn't smoke out of them before.

If you are worried, go to a tobacco shop and buy some cheap loose tobacco and pack it with the pipe.
