Personally I feel that this movie is going to suck ass and hard. Having seen the original series and shorts, and (with excitment i might add) viewed the clips from the movie, I was deeply disappointed. The clips look horrible!!! I mean, sure Charlize has got the voice down, but they will never ever be able to capture the quirky movements or styles that made the show what it was. Trevor Goodchild isn't even blond!!!! Hell, we don't even know if the menacing threat is Trevor, becuase he is unmentioned in the trailers (which kills me because his character is so effing badass). And what is this with the whole "ruthlessly effiecient" and "the perfect assassin" sort of shit? In all the 16 missions she was shown in (10 full length episodes, 5 shorts, and the pilot) I think maybe she accomplished 4 or 5. In fact, she only accomplished one of the shorts, and still she died in the end (but the death is the good part, her signature thing). This movie looks like it's ok, maybe a b-rating move on its own apart from the series, but anyone looking for anything like the series or (God forbid) a continuation of the series, will be seriously disappointed.
i agree i remember the series.. this kicked as for my 8 yr old self back in the day lol.. it kicked ass.. there is no way they are gonna be able to get this movie what i should be
I Haven't seen the Movie yet, but I Know that it's Going to be Cool, what with Charlize Theron in it an' all! And I'm sure we Will have Amusing Moments within as well.. While I feel the series did not capture the Full True essence of Flux, as good as It was - as well as It could have, I can't help but feel something might be lacking in the Movie, as well... But I'm not sure what.. I mean if you can translate and put it to Film, And there Are Industry Standards, Then I'm Sure It Will Be Good.. As an Aspiring Screenwriter/Filmmaker, I thought of Writing An Aeon Flux Movie, about 10 years before the Movie came out... I was going to capture something new, as Aeon did on Liquid Television, It Was An 'All Sound-Effects' Action Movie but with No Dialog, this of course was before the cartoon series came out with dialog, ruining my whole momentum I had going there..
