that which is expensive
and that which is beautiful
owning these is symbolic of success
however
that which is expensive is rarely truly beautiful
and that which is truly beautiful is usually free
so this entire culture i've been living parallel to
is in fact an army of suicide runners
chasing a collection they will never attain
they long for both ocean and sky
and will never actually experience the sensation
of sailing either
here, they value two things
and have no idea what those two things are
in comparison to the fact
that they'll be human longer than they'll be anything else
and shells of themselves
even longer than that
