I haven't had sex in 5 months

What's up with that? I'm married and things have been crazy. My kid's having trouble sleeping, we moved, hubby went to training for a month, it's been nuts. Now it's like it's not even an option. He mentions it every once in a while, but I keep getting sick and I'm so tired all the time from getting no sleep that he doesn't even bother trying to be lovey. I think he's given up. We used to have so much fun. Sex every other day, group stuff, fun positions, toys, it was awesome. Now I don't even get a tongue kiss. It's weird, don't you think?

 

not exactly weird, may just be a rough patch, you said yourself things have gotten in the way before.

maybe he feels this is now the norm, always busy, excuses for why not to etc.

try confronting him about it, tell him how you want to have an active sex life, and perhaps dedicate some time to regain what you had?

I seriously hate to be the one to bring this up but... do you think he could be cheating on you? sometimes that's the reason.

 

He's definitely not cheating on me. LOL. For one thing, we're polyamorous. For another thing, when he's not at work, he's home with the kid. And third, he's too much of a pussy to cheat on me anyway.

To Atom Bomb - Grandma is 3 1/2 hours away and the kiddo's breastfed so he can't be gone overnight or anything. He hasn't been napping or sleeping well, so that also puts a big-time crimp in things.

Issues? How do you mean? Nothing wrong with being poly. I work mornings, he works evenings so the kiddo doesn't have to be in daycare much so he's home with the kid in the mornings and I'm there when he gets home from work. And he's too much of a pussy to cheat on me - so? Some guys are just weenies about stuff like that. He'd be so paranoid of getting caught if he were cheating on me. Besides, I know he loves me, plus he's a TERRIBLE liar.

 

My sister and her husband went through the same thing when she had her baby. They take so much time, energy, and adjustment that there is nothing left over for your partner. But as my sisters baby got older, things got better.

Also breast feeding releases a hormone that makes you feel satisfied, much in the same manner that sex does, so maybe that's why you have no libido.

Is your baby eating any solid foods yet? Maybe that's the reason he's not sleeping well. Once my sister started feeding her son rice cereal and baby food, he slept like a...well, like a baby. ^.^
