I am soon (in January or february) going to go to the humane society and adopt a kitty! YAY.... I was jsut wondering what everyone fed their cats... Dry food, wet food, moist food or a natural diet... Im thinking about wet food with some natural food mixed in but was just wondering what everyone else fed their kitty cats. Thanks, Kat
We feed my cat Max cat nutro, both wet and dry foods. The best thing for your cat is to get a food that the first ingredient is one of the ingredients that it's flavored for. For example my cats eat chicken and rice, the first ingredient is chicken. If that's not the case the first thing your cat will be digesting is by-products. Wet food is good for kittens and adults because it can keep them hydrated since a lot of cats don't drink enough and is easier digested. Stay away from brands like friskies and 9lives, though they are a couple dollars cheaper many of the ingredients are just dyes. But honestly it's still all good for your cat or they wouldn't be able to market it. So whatever you get will keep your cat happy and healthy. Sorry I used to work at a pet shelter.:& I doubt you really wanted to know all that but I couldn't stop typing lol.
my cat eats dry food. he likes to eat when HE wants to eat and tends to eat small meals at a time so thats why he eats dry...so i can leave it out for him all day to eat when he pleases. plus its better on their teeth to eat dry food...keeps their teeth stronger. i feed him a brand called Royal Canin. So far its the best Ive found....no by products and very healthy. plus he loves it.
We've got 8 cats so it tends to be "so and so likes such and such", and on and on! We have a large shelf full of posh dry food and wet foods (only supermeat and jelly - gravy gives 'em the runs!) We tried them on organic dry food but they sneered at us and left the stuff alone, but they're very picky and we have to keep changing the brands every few days! Aggh! Fussy cats!
