I was just wondering... How does it change colors? I would assume from the heat, but then wouldn't it have changed colors when the paint was applied to the molten glass?

It doesn't actually change colors. Pieces that are fumed seem to change color when there is resin buildup, because it's against a darker background.

Which is why at headshops they usually have a little black mat/pillo to lay the piece on to see what colors it will change.

yeah what TWAT said, the glass is mostly clear with a slight tint of another color. The buildup of resin makes the background darker and darker which causes the glass to look different colors.

Ive had spirals and twists of color get wider or change flow on me before from heat. But, the color changing is just resin build up. I heard the certain buds make differnt colors, like I heard krip makes it blue, but I think its just a rmor I'm not really sure.

^^^yeah...that can't be true, what you said about different strains making different colors, because the color is already blown into the glass...

As was said before it 'changes' colors because your looking at it with a darker back ground...

I'd have to agree with mellow, resin is resin, same color pretty much no matter what bud you are smoking.

The original was banned for 10 days.

Come back again before then, and it becomes permanent...
