I don't know much about it to be honest. All I know is I think men need to take a little more responsibilty for birth control instead of the women having to do it all of the time! I mean think about it...birth control pills, patches, injections, IUD's, diaphrams, skin implanted birth control, tubal liagations, and so on. How many forms are there for the male? One, besides a vasectomy? How fair is that?

I haven't actually used one, but they should be available beside the condoms in any fairly large convenience store. theoretically speaking at least. They do cost about as much as 4-6 condoms do, so they are more expensive.

men arent the ones getting pregnant...half the time they arent the ones who have to pay/raise the kids either. would you trust a guy with your health and whether or not you get pregnant if there isnt nearly as bad a consequnce for him if it were to happen? i think women have the responsibility of birth control for a very good reason, and i think if it were the other way around, thye'd be regretting it...

as for the female condoms...i've never actually seen one, thye do exist in retail, but are rather rare form what i can tell

Well, being that I've only had one sexual partner, I can't really say how I'd feel about trusting someone else to take the reigns when it comes to birth control. My husband is the one who takes care of it with us.

I just don't think that birth control should rest solely on the woman's shoulders when it's the man who's shooting his potent self inside of her. ;)

like dm said, the male doesn't get pregnant though. And men can often carry STD's with no symptoms, yet the chick will get symptoms from them the moment they become infected. I have condoms in my room, and usually in my purse when I go out as well, just in case. I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'm also on the pill, but that doesn't protect against any STD's. I don't plan on going out and sleeping around, but it's good to have them handy. It's our responsibility to have condoms handy just as much as it is the guy's, I think. And I like the pill because it makes my periods lighter, more predictable and well, I like the idea of being really well protected against pregnancy.

I'm not saying that a woman should bear absolutely no responsibility regarding birth control, I just think it seems really unfair that so many men want to have the woman handle it completely on her own. It takes two to tango!

I don't see it as an issue of responsibility. As in who remembers to wear a condom? Do you think of it like that? You know before sex if the man or woman is wearing a condom. And as far as buying goes, either sex can buy either type.

What I want to know is if people have tried both and if one is more pleasureable to another for a certain sex. I would think that the female condom would allow more motion of the penis' skin on a man and might feel better to him. A textured female condom would probably feel great.

I've heard that female condoms have about an 1/8 of the sensation that male condoms do. One of my friends told me it feels like thrusting into a ziploc bag.

I think that there is a problem in our society when we call a pregnancy pill the pill. I mean there are pills that can fight cancer or to releive pain from our bodies, but the pill that they decide to call the pill is for nothing more than preventing pregnancy? Pregancy is the most sacred part of our live and yet the most famous pill is one that stops it from happening? I think that this shows how society is dying a slow death.

er, it's probably more to prevent it from being obvious that you're having sex. Society is pretty uptight about women getting it regularly (particularly if it's from not just one person).... would you really go around calling it the pregnancy prevention pill? PPP?

Well everyone knows that it is called the pill so who is it really deceiving? And yes I think the PPP could be a better name.
