After seeing the film "what the bleep do we know?", I searched the net for some additional information about quantum mechanics. I visited some sites and found out that Ramtha's school of enlightment gives weekends around the world to help people using this knowledge in their own life. It interresses me, but I have some questions?

Do you believe in "making you day/life" as explained in "what the bleep..."?
Does anybody of you ever followed such a weekend or week?
Is it worth the money (175€ and up for 2 days is not very cheap in my eyes)?

    Thanks for sharing,

    B.

This movie caused a blowout argument between me and my atheist ex boyfriend.

I am all for everyone's spiritual journey. However, I really get upset when anyone puts down anyone else's chosen faith/ or not faith. So I didn't like the way Ramtha claimed to have these great philosophies, yet had to put down other religions in the process, specifically Christianity.

I thought that the movie raised some really important questions and theories. I definitely plan on reading more on quantum theory....there's a book out there called the Dancing Wu Li Masters that I have on my proverbial list of books to read.

    I would buy it.

I don't think that religions are put down that way. For me, it helps to understand why people are religious. It is like a decent base where almost every religion could fit in. Of course, for me, being non-religious, it's not hard to hear that God is not an entity, but is in all living beings.

I respect people who truly believe in God, or Allah, or another god. What bothers me in most religions is that they limit our free will. Religion can be very beautiful, but when people change the laws of love and helping each other, in laws of judging other religions, homosexuals, the use of certain drugs, ..., it changes from being a help in life to being a burden.

I try to live my life. I try to help people if I can, and to never hurt people and for me that is the real message all gods and prophets want to learn us. I cannot understand that people make war to each other, to convince each other of their own truth (religion). In fact, I cannot understant that people make war for anything.

    With all respect,

Alot of interesting things happened when I started to plan my days and my weeks. Good things. Things I expected to happen. It's fascinating how we influence our world.

As far as downplaying religions, I agree with Molly. It did seem sort of harsh to attack Christianity. For the most part I try to suggest things. Not throw them down in their face and insult the individual of another faith.

At any rate, much is to be learned from What the Bleep,
    Many questions are raised...
It's up to you to discover their answers.

After watching the film myself, I was very inspired by what was said in it and purchased several of Ramtha's books. However, after reading the books, I felt a sense of emptiness such as I hadn't felt for years. I have an intuitive sense of people and their intentions, and I could sense something was different about Ramtha.

So, in this new "dark night of the soul" that I had not felt since I abandoned the first segment of this life, I felt the need to investigate Ramtha and his practices/beliefs. I even emailed several of the scientists interviewed in the film to get their take on it, including Dr. David Albert, who claimed that the film totally took him out of context and would not represent his true views. Their responses were somewhat vague (Fred Alan Wolfe, who is a strong supporter of Ramtha's school, said to me: We know observation of reality affects reality, but we have yet to find out whether 'positive thinking' can affect reality positively)

It would seem that I could find no voice of reason in all this political bullshit that tainted the issue. One side said that Ramtha's character should not be judged, and reacted harshly to any sort of criticism or questioning. It was very cult-like behavior (and I'm not one to throw around the word cult). However, the other side was just as bad. Most of them were incredibly opposed to any New Age concepts or abstract ideas. I, personally, did not find it hard to believe Ramtha was a 35,000 year old being possessing a woman--it was the contradictions in his story and the evidence I found suspect.

Well, to make a long story somewhat shorter, I eventually found this site, which was probably the best examination I could find. http://www.kelebekler.com/cesnur/txt/ram2.htm

In the end I had to conclude that Ramtha was indeed a con artist. I do believe that consciousness does affect reality in many ways that cannot be proven through study, only through experience. I even agree with a great deal of Ramtha's teachings (some of them, however, remain disagreeable). But I will not give any more money, in any way, to Ramtha or his organization.

But I must say that it did do a great job of challenging my principles and whether or not I had independence of thought enough to recognize a false guru. Also, it taught me to separate the teacher from the teachings.

If anyone's interested in the attachment Dr. David Albert sent to me about the film's theories, just PM me your email and I'll send it to you. It's too large for me to attach to here.

    It is HERE NOW
    do you feel it?

    so ultimately

    THE PRESENCE

In the course of my life, I have become aware of a presence that exists in all things, the consciousness that creates all matter in the universe and ultimately was Me.

According to materialists, all that exists is matter, and consciousness results from the matter of the brain, it is isolated from other consciousness except through its perceived senses connected to the outside world, and memories. In this understanding of the universe, Aristotle’s willing actions coming from oneself, his notions of ignorance and force, it all makes perfect sense. Yet this is only in classical physics, the universe operates by quantum physics because everything is made up elementary particles including the brain which is where materialist scientists suggest consciousness come from. (Goswami 9) So in the numerous and scientifically proven experiments and mathematics many quantum properties were discovered that were very new and mysterious to the scientific community. These include; quantum objects in more then one place at one time, quantum objects cannot manifest in ordinary space-time reality until it is observed, and distance plays no part in observation effecting quantum influence between particles. This already implies that there is more to matter then matter.

These mysterious properties create a paradox in materialism. (Goswami 9) In materialism it is assumed that the subject observing matter, a person’s consciousness sensing the light bouncing of the chair is just as real, no matter what we observe it as or if we do. However, this doesn’t fit in, because the particles of a chair need an observer to be a chair falling into place, otherwise they are just potential. Yet look there is a chair, not potential. (Goswami 38) So there are these potentialities of where the chair, matter can be, because it is spread across probabilities. The scientists can figure that it is more likely to materialize into certain localized position over another. (Goswami 39) Heisenberg, one of the well respected and known quantum physicists wrote, “The path of electron only comes into existence only when we observe it.” Essentially, matter needs consciousness to work in the way that physical things work in the universe. Yet according to materialists consciousness only exists in certain living things. Consider this, stars breaking down in such a way that certain elements found their very improbable way to a small rock floating around a sun, and there evolved life out of the slime into animals made out of all stars, and out pops consciousness from the chunk of goo inside your skull. Yet none of that could have happened without an observer making potentialities fall into place. Yet if there was no animal consciousness which was sinking all those potentialities into place, what consciousness was observing? That is when we must abandon the materialistic explanation, consciousness is indeed the ground of all being. I am the creator of the universe as are you.

As I became aware of this presence in my waking states, I had a strong desire to understand it. I read as much as I could on the subject, finding evidence for it in the realms of science, mysticism and in experiments with my own consciousness. For my project, I would like to focus on communicating with this presence through REM dreams known as lucid dreams. Lucid Dreaming is when in a dream, the dreamer is aware that it is in fact a dream and that one’s body is sleeping. It eluded me that I could use dreams to investigate this presence that I felt in my waking states.

The Divine Mother speaks her words of love and light inside my deep spiritual heart, the energy converged.

    And dream yoga

    Feb 2004

In the dream, it is just after this big party at my houseI am sitting on a couch outside, near pond, surrounded by beautiful women I know; Sam, Lauren, Lauren, Steph, Mom, Amanda, Lisa, Ashley, my grandma, memom, Winny, all showering me with so much love that I am drunk, in awe. However, the power of it passes away, as I realize they are just dream characters, my own psyche, my own ego, they were more interpretations of energies, this energy is really on force. I realize this is not just a dream, this is all a manifestation of the divine mother. The dream is incredibly vivid, glowing and pulsating with incredible energy. This aching source of energy and light behind it all, communing with me on a very subtle level, a strand of thread glowing with bliss and love. I call out, “Divine mother, I am just a lowly servant. You are great, you are all powerful, please help me.” The presence from behind the wall of the futon couch I am sitting on… a powerful light, the dream dematerialized, and melts like when on an acid trip. I hear a real sweet powerful divine voice, not like a voice of an ordinary dream character, this had a whole quality of intervention, the mystical experience, my dream was transforming into a spiritual communication through this level of consciousness with what is perfect. As the light shined and I shield my eyes from it like the burning bush, with each words I was filled with bliss and rippling bubbles of ecstasy so playful and beautiful that you are just in awe and listening so deeply to what is conveyed. Her melodic feminine voice explained her love for me, the unconditional, limitless, showing me how real it always is, at every moment. She tells me about god, and with God anything is possible, speaking in words I understand. She tells me to try to achieve union with her, God, in the dream. Suddenly I realize she means a merging of energy, yoga. The couch explodes in light, I feel like I am dying no space or time or dream body, just merging energies, with a visions of a brilliant shimmering white lights, like the dance of star collapsing… As my ego faded away and I entered a rippling world of infinite energy, my soul did not desire to leave the place, this was the goal, the end, merging directly with the source, a taste of the infinite. I am kicked gently out of the beautiful center, and in a detached powerful blissful vision of the dream world. The power centered up in the third eye. The divine mother had told me in the realm of the union, That I am encouraged to “experience and explore.”

Having a bad dream, I become lucid, doing dream yoga. Suddenly I am flying down where Neem Karoli Baba is sitting on the street. I sit as his feet. He takes off my shoes and explains that he is really not Neem, just ESSENCE.

Which means Something that exists, especially a spiritual or incorporeal entity.

So this entity had entered my dream, and assumed the form of a guru I admired. It was a good entity because I felt pleasant and safe, he did a healing on my second chakra, releaving the sexual frustration that was hurting me. The confusion, pain and desire even if subtle and suppressed was suddenly gone. I felt healed.

“You are coming in line with the Lord” Sincerely Divine Voice

    Feb 2004

I’m in my room, my alter has turned into all these nonsensical pictures. On my bed, I was just having sexual play with all these girls from my past. There are all these freaky looking fuzzy creatures all around me. I am calling to the joyous mother to save me… I start saying her name

    Anandamayi Ma!

    Anandamayi Ma!

    Anandamayi Ma!

I see her smiling face, healing me, and protecting me from the creatures. I start flying out the window, and see these cars pulling up, its night. The people in the cars have kids, one of them is Chloe from Free to Be, they are trying to talk to me, hang out and be, I ignore them calling out

    Anandamayi Ma!

    Anandamayi Ma!

    Anandamayi Ma!

    Anandamayi Ma!

I look over at Chloe, and say, “I am calling to the all powerful, the source of all things, the feminine aspect of it.” Suddenly the sky was funneling with brilliant red particles, vivid and clear and beautiful, another intelligent presence making itself known to me. In this BOOMING INCREDIBLY POWERFUL VOICE, that knocked me to the ground, I was bowing, in incredible aliveness, ecstasy, seeing this WHITE LIGHT, You are coming in line with the Lord. Then everything, goes back to normal

I have experienced that which is spoken of in these books, and in doing so I now believe in what they say. I cannot, however, condone a woman who is so obviously lying. It's like, I believe in a lot of what Jesus said, but the interpretation that the Bible takes and the clergy take are so screwed up that I cannot consider myself a Christian. I don't need Ramtha to tell me about my power or teach me power: I know I have power and I will not share that with anyone unwillingly.
