Totally! She didn't seem near as cocky, seductive, able, anything....plus they didn't give her too much screen time, same with Krum and Cedric....And Neville got too much considering his small role in the book.
Okay, I just saw it. I liked it lots but of course it's not nearly as good as the book. When's the 7th book coming out?!
ya know i have only seen the first harry potter....and i saw previews for this and hes like a man now...
me and my kids all hated it and thought it was stupid. I think parents that take their small children to see this kind of dark crap are idiots.
and my kids are avid fans of all the books... blah blah blah, the movie is disturbing and perverted and not for small children!!!! That reallly pisses me off to see them in line, all innocent, can't people please take care of small childrens minds for God's sake??
ok, it had some cool special effects but overall, it's just bad and that is because i am really spiritual and it bugs me to see magick be made a mockery of.
and thankfully, there were alot of other people walking out who felt the same way. It wasn't just me. I feel really bad abut this! I feel like some kind of a traitor, but it just doesn't turn me on to see ferrets harassed and spiders tortured and people getting off on sick shit like that.
wait....In the book, weren't spiders tortured and ferrets harassed? Or did I mis-read a few chapters?...
Still feeling guilty for not loving this film.... Maybe it was cause i am pms or something, it really wasn't that horrible, unless you are 2- 8, for the fear factor....but it did show insect/animal abuse, which as a hippie mama, that always gets me upset. i am still thinking about that poor spider creature being tosssed about and *fucked with*! i guess i just worry that stupid kids will go around doing this to animals cause they see it in films, and it is made to look fun and entertaining. Or maybe it's cause i am subconsciously envious of people who have gotten so much enjoyment out of the books and i haven't.
Sorry to say that I didn't see where the spider scene was meant to be anything other than upsetting. It's their professor showing them Unforgivable Curses, you can hear the spider scream, and several students are visably upset by the whole thing. If you still see it as meant to show it in a positive light, then you are obviously not watching the same film I am.
Saw it. Loved it. That's a MAJOR understatement. IT ROCKED! Fred and George were so hot. And I loved The Weird Sisters. And the Quidditch Cup stadium was awesome. The special effects were breathtaking, etc. I'm sure this has all been said, but I didn't read the entire thread.
