1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

I am currently saving my old lot shirts and concert tee's for just such a project. I almost have enough of my hubby's to make a quilt for him. I even have a small stash of kids tie dyes and lot shirts of my sons :)

6 hours,, an all she did was take the top out of a quilt and make a dress out of it??

O Keydokey,,if thats impressive to yall ,,so be it..

speaking of quilts,, yall ladies should start a hip forums quilting guild..

you could do it via ups or somethin..

i have seen the talent here as well as the freindship..

yall should organize an make a fine ass hippie quilt..

not be impressed by someone that took the top off one an cut an sowed a dress pattern in 6 hours...

I think that it was more the idea of taking old t-shirts and making something out of them, not that it took her 6 hours or anything. And in her defence, I think that she said in there that she'd never really made anything before....so that;s actually really good.

Such a sweet idea - but I'm not a sewer [IMG]. I'd have to hire one of you sewing mommas to stitch it together for me.
