The ONLY thing I would sell my soul for is the gaurantee that all of my loved ones would have eternal happiness after death.

for the universe to change in such a manner that it would be possible for the human race to survive forever, or stay that way if it is already (for instance, if the big bang expand retract is correct, this would be impossible)

I would sell my soul only for love. Not just to be loved but to be able to love. Alot of philosophers question the existence of love, saying it is only symbiosis - emotional and sexual reinforcement in exchange for the same, I want to prove them wrong. I want to be able to give and ask for nothing in return, but also for everyone to want that. This is the only way we can ever experience universal peace.

But heres the paradox - if I could find true inner contentment whith my decision how could I ever be in hell if I had everything I ever wanted? If everyone gave up all their selfish desires and wanted only to help others we would no longer experience pain or suffering, the need to feel "good" isn't an aspect of selflessness. We could find total fulfillment in everything we do, we really would create heaven and universal happiness.

Yeah, it takes quite a bit of acid to come up with this bullshit.
