I personally think that the whole menstration thing is, yeah, a nice way of connecting to the earth, moon, and being a woman and all, but I have a terrible time with it. I've had numerous late months, time after time, and cycles that leave me with tampon-scavenging for 2 months straight... ruined clothes... sucks. It's not like I carry a purse or anything either, so I was rather sick of putting them up my sleeve (from my bookbag) to go use the bathroom. I'm rather boyish, so yeah, I have those pants with the huge-ass pockets, but I was still sick of it. I have a boyfriend as well, and was fed up with paying $4 for 3 damned condoms. ...Nowhere in my area do they sell those like... 30 pack ones, which I would totally buy. I wanted to take some birth control, pretty much just to save on money for condoms, but there's no way I would remember to take a pill every day. A patch would probably be noticed by someone at school, I'm sure. My mother told me about this shot, Depo-Provera, that you take every 3 months. I'm perfectly fine with shots, so this was dead-perfect ... there were a lot of negative side effects, however, though I was willing to try it. One of the side effects, rather nice, was that I MIGHT not menstruate. oooo...This was only a 50% chance, and if it did go away, it'd be after a year and a half or so. HAH! I beat those odds. Not only did it go away (my first shot was in July), but it left the few days after my second shot (october). Maybe I have low estrogen or something. I have an unusually low voice, my cycles are constantly off, as if they're borderline... such things like that... I wonder if that has anything to do with my mysterious colour-changing clothes, lol. Sweeet. Has anyone else had good or bad experiences with it?? Thinking about it? Janelle
