You do not appreciate what God does now because you do not know what God could do. This makes it necessary for you to see how God could act, OT style, to truly appreciate how God acts now.
It is simply the wisdom that to act (use that which God has) is better than to not act that dictates God's decision. If you understand the primal nature of God (infinite mind, all possibilities realised without differentiation between good and evil) you can understand that Good is simply one possibility- since action is part of the possibility of Good, wisdom dictates that God must act for Good to exist. God must restrain God's self to avoid actions which result in harm (to God).
I sorta thought you were joking, just didn't quite get it... Wierd. It's almost like God is purposefully creating people who think different things. As a child, I was taught that natural law rules the universe, which is an interesting perspective and allows me to enjoy sci-fi, etc. Without a background in this ficticious mode of thought, I would not be able to appreciate certain stories or ideas that God creates. Humility... is it about this? Or is it about something far greater?
I love that song... When I was your age I said the same thing... lol, and some older dude prolly said what I just said to you to me... All I listened to at 18 was Deicide, Slayer, Exodus, Death, Cannibal Corpse, and a few other death metal bands. Needless to say, my musical taste was not very developed.
Rap sucks, Hardcore metal is even worse. The instrumental in hardcore is decent, but the whole growling aspect screams NO TALENT. Rap generally has no melody, and if it does it is secondary to the yelling, like hardcore. Good rap is rare, good hardcore is non existent. Its not about what they are growling or rapping, which is generally the farthest thing from poetry. The problem is they cant carry a tune. Listen to Die Arzte, I dont know what the fuck they are babbling about with their german giberish, but they are in key, so it sounds good.
Your poor judgement of death metal screams NO BRAINS. There are many different varieties of death metal "growls", and each artist puts different emotional nuances into their lyrical delivery. Of course, without experience, good ears, and a musically inclined mind you aren't likely to pick up on the subtleties of death metal. Spoken like a true <sarcasm> worldly </sarcasm> 18 year old. I can really pick up the teen know it all, judgemental mindset from what you say about music. You might get it someday...
Duh.... You can't see divinity that flows through all things, better start deplanking your eye, sister. Do you even know that God is within you- that you have a direct, internal connection to God?
Not by mispelling my name. Simply by God given beliefs. Of course, if you are realistic about stuff, and do not turn to teachings that please your ears, you would realise you are fucking screwed. Look at the world around you (evil, pain, ignorance), compare it to what you believe about God. 2 timothy 4:3-5 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry." Your beliefs about God are based upon your own desires, not the truth. Do you see how the whole world has heaped up teachers that teach what they want to believe about God- the catholic church says you will go to heaven if you follow these teachings, anyone who says that God is unconditionally loving, etc. God isn't good, my friend. More along the lines of slightly below mediocre. You can't get to heaven by kissing God's ass- God doesn't care. You can't get to heaven by faith, because God will prove your faith wrong again and again. You cannot get to heaven, for God will not let you. It was a burning idea of eternal glory that God indulged in at an early stage in God's life- God no longer wants heaven, God wants peace. If God doesn't want heaven, that means you aren't gonna get it. Be realistic. God isn't worthy of your eternal companionship.
