I just got my belly button pierced about 3 days ago and I was wondering what to expect, how long before I can change jewelry, and what are the best things for aftercare. I am not inexperienced about piercing care, but I was just wondering about your ideas. Right now I am using Satin antimicrobial soap, salt water soaks, and H2Ocean.
i waited six months or more before i changed my ring... all i did was keep it clean and never had a problem with it, have had it for 9 years about..and it never got infected and i didnt put any special stuff on it either, just kept it clean...
They say to avoid the ocean until most of the healing process is done, though sun and salt water help healing, sand getting in can really hurt the piercing.
