We now have a hippie community category for the hippie forums, including this one under the title Hip Communities/Hippies. Eventually there will be more community features available.
This is getting TOO hard Skip. I coudn't find either forum. Had to go to 'my threads' to get here. Lotus
It's a wonder I found it. No Old Hippies forum? Found it under Hippies though. Checked the "site announcments and nothing there. Isn't that why we have that thread? So you can let us know when stuff changes. Now, where the hell are the personal forums?
LOL Me too! Actually I think I've been very patient with all the changes, up until this one. When I can't find "old hippies" forum, thats when I run out of patience. But I eventually found it. First through my own threads, then later under "communities." I'm not too fond that were no longer listed on the front page, but that's life. Mostly I guess I'm getting tired of chasing things down. If all the moving around and change can come to a conclusion, that would be a nice change too. lol Namaste, Lotus
I Like the changes. What's that you say? ... Being a freak from the earlier daze, I find that I can still maintain my sense of adventure and fun. Ain't that what we were all about then? This place has always been fun. And it certainly is an adventure with true humanity. While we're occupying our time here typing and having our ha-ha's, Skip and friends have been working hard to give us the best standards of this technology available.... and what do we do? Thank Him? No, we just sit here and bitch about how hard the changes on the forums are for us to Roll With. What happened to that sense of adventure? Or have you guys forgotten what the 60's truly were about? Free Thinking, tolerance for others, and an appetite for change is our inheritence from those daze... Have fun with these changes people... we have been given an opportunity to grow here. Don't throw it away by bein' curmudgeons. Just my two and a half cents worth.
Moan... Groan... Telephone. It's a symptom of the modern age I suppose, to have everything made easy so that you don't have to go to the trouble of using your brain. I don't know, Southernman... I find that when I go out of my way to make something special for someone... something really 'Boss', that I start to feeling like I don't even want to try anymore when that person or persons start to pick apart what I've tried to do. Kind of a Bummer, if you know what I mean. I thought too, that it was only Old Women who whined and cried when they thought that they had to do something on their own. Buck Up Kids... new things are a gas to investigate. Keeps you from falling into the rut that the wagon wheels make in the dirt. Me? I'm the rock in the rut that knocks the wheel out. Have Fun! Do we come here for the "background noise" or for the friends that we've made along the way? Sam
It wasn't hard to figure out the new thing.Just had to look.I like this new format combined with our old backrounds.Kinda like the best of both worlds.I wouldn't be surprised if there was more changes in store for us........cool.
:& OK Sam, you are right. I figured it out anyway. Just needed to bitch. I have always dealt well with change. This change seemed as if it relegated the forum to something unimportant. However, I am wrong and it might keep out the pixies and trolls. 'Strange fascination, fascinating me Changes are taking the pace I'm going through Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes Ch-ch-changes Look out you rock 'n' rollers Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes Ch-ch-changes Pretty soon you're gonna get a little older Time may change me But I can't trace time''
Actually if you notice the Hip Community is right at the TOP of the forums now. And with the impressive post #s of the three combined forums, it will draw more attention from new visitors than the individual forums did before. Plus the basic framework is now there for us to do a lot more on a community level. New features will appear slowly, so don't hold your breath.
I am kind of proud of myself for figuring out how to get here. I didn't like the changes at first, either, but I am getting the lay of the land straight, and kind of enjoying learning my way around. Thanks for all you do, Skip.
