Hi Guys I teach a kids art class at a local gallery, and I have to come up with some ideas for theup coming winter season, I am going to have a pottery class, a paper making/book making class and I'm thinking about mosaics. I was wondering if you guys have any great ideas or themes for me. I know you do! Thanks!
well... christmasy/wintery themes would be cute of course... trees, snow, white animals, polar bears, penguins, reindeer, snow foxes, cabins with smoke stacks.. lol i'm really just reciting things i associate with winter... maybe making gifts for family members? when i was little we made rag ornaments using peices of cloth and styrofoam balls and all we had to do was push the edges of the fabric into the styrofoam (no glueing or sewing or anything) and my mom kept is for a long time... then again, your stuff sounds much more advanced that these things. well i'll let somebody else contribute lol oh wait, paper making... lots of ppl love journals and sketchbooks. perhaps making a storybook too? hmm... mosaics are always great for picture frames and mirrors and tabletops, display dishes/plates... okay okay i'm gonna stop now.
oooh, lego, that's a great idea. I came up with a few more last night and I presented them to the boss lady today and she thought they were great. We're making candles, pottery, mosaic stones, clay windchimes, and a bead loom project. I'm so excited!
