honestly i don't know what i am. i have debated it for years and years. Overall i'd say somewhere between bi and straight because i've thought about it but if i ever was with someone of the same sex, i'd just feel to awkward and uncomfortable. I mean, there's more to it but still.

I just want to say though that i hear people say that bisexuality isn't real. THAT'S BULLSHIT. I have a friend who's a guy that at some times feels like doin a girl and at other times a guy, at and random time. But he really feels attracted to both and i don't think he's lying at all.

I went through the label angst through my twenties, which was also when I dealt with having sex w/ other men the most. Then I had a 7 year relationship with a woman. Now I'm numb and celibate because I can't be bothered.

I am whatever that makes you. ;)

    I'm bi.

People have talked in this thread about "switching from bisexuality to being a lesbian..." and stuff like that, and I think that's kinda absurd. It's not like converting from one religion to another, it's just going with what you like. That's like saying, "I'm going to change my favorite color from green to blue."

Sexual preference: none. I have no preference. I would rather sex be guilt-free, hah.

I dunno, ideologically speaking I'd rather be bi than gay, because it just seems that it would be a step in the right direction for society as a whole if no-one excluded potential partners because of a societally engrained belief in the importance of a set orientation. But I don't see it as a matter of personal choice.

As far as I can tell I'm bi, but I don't like it. When you are bi, you feel as though there is some element of choice when it comes to which sex you are drawn to. And when you start thinking that you are "choosing" to have gay sex, things get tricky. I'd rather just have strong, clear attractions to either one sex or the other.

I'm monogamous, and married to a man. Does that make me straight? LOL If he died and I entered into a monogamous relationship with a woman, which is much more likely to happen than finding another man I could put up with, would that make me gay? I agree with the person who said that about labelling sexuality, but I'd extend the age to... I dunno... seventy? I love people. How's that? I don't need to justify my love with a label. Labels only serve to help other people categorize and stereotype you, which is never a good thing IMO. And where's the "other" category that every poll should have? I didn't vote.

I've always kind of wondered whether bisexuality means you don't feel content in an exclusive relationship (because you'd be dating one gender and therefore missing out on the other). Also, do you find you're attracted to more or less androgynous guys/girls? In other words, do you find the same things attractive in men as you do in women?

It's difficult to say really. Right now I'm seeing a guy and what I find most attractive about him is that he has a strong personality, healthy ego, and he likes to take care of me rather than the other way around. In this sense, I really enjoy being the "girl" in the relationship.

However, in the relationships I've had with girls, I prefer being the tough guy who doesn't say much, and who only hints at his vulnerabilities from time to time, but never brings them up.

So it seems like I change roles depending on which sex I date. How much this has to do with choice and denial, I don't know. I just go with what I'm feeling.

That's kinda cleared it up, really. I was just wondering if bi people were attracted to different things in different genders. Seems in your case you do. I can understand that, to be honest. I figure if someone was attracted to girls and feminine boys, or guys and masculine girls, it wouldn't really seem like bisexuality to me, because they'd be attracted to either masculine or feminine traits, rather than both. I think this kind of thing interests me in particular because I've never really had any bisexual inclination at all.
