Traveling with Weed.

I just had a couple of questions wondering if any of you had any experience on the subject.

I'm gonna be taking a plane down to the states next month and im hoping to take a bit of ganj with me, prolly a gram and a bit.

How should i hide it?
should i keep on me? in my carry-on luggage? or my other luggage?

I was thinking of maybe wrapping it up in saran wrap and putting it in my retainer case, which would then be in a toiletry bag, which would be kept at the bottom of my suitcase...would it show up on the xrays?

i have flown in state with it and not ever had a problem, but i dont know what regulations there for flying intot he state...

anyways, i put mine wrapped up in plastic amongst the pills in my pill bottles. put it in something that is normal like a shampoo bottle that is empty. x rays shouldnt be able to penetrate through something like that i dont think. its real easy just dont be stupid.

 

ya i wouldn't be so leary if i was traveling within my own country, but flying internationally, especially to the states makes me a little sketched...

 

Maybe you could get some 00 capsules and fill them with ground up weed. Then put the capsules in a herbal supplement bottle, such as damiana or something that has a strong odor.

 

yeah definately do what topnotchstoner said......if you are gonna do it do it like that.....i wouldnt do it period, but i sat here for a while and that has got to be the best thing to do just break up the weed and put in some capsules and stick them in a an empty herb bottle that says it is like ginseng or something i have never been on an airplane before but i know it is a no no if you have to go through customs, those guys suck and they have dogs.....peace.

Are you going to a place where you have friends and family that smoke? If you are, maybe you could get some weed when you get there. If not, just decide if it's worth the risk of getting caught. You might want to scope out the terminal to see if they have drug dogs and how thorough they are in their security procedures. Maybe you will get some more response posts that give info on some of those security procedures.

 

ya i dont know anyone where im going, and im not buying of anyone i dont know...I've been on planes dozens of times and only seen a dog once, but you never know when you might find one...not to mention they might screen my bags a little more thouroughly, because in reality I do look like a pretty big stoner, or so i've been told...

If you look so much like a stoner, maybe you should dress a little un-stoner-ish and negate from using any of your stoner mannerisms when at the airport. It wouldn't hurt.

Honestly I dont know if I would risk it. Customs usually has dogs, and as you know the US is not weed friendly in the least on the federal level. Cant you try to score some once you are stateside? Or even mail some to the house you are staying in or hotel before you leave?

 

I taped a bag(1/4) on each leg and kept it with me the whole time coming back from jamiaca. I did the same thing from mexico too. It works but is uncomfortable.

 

^^^that helps with hiding it, but smell is another issue...
mailing is not an option since im gonna be with my parents, and as I said I'm not buying from anyone i dont know...so we'll see what happens

 

If you take DavidRig's suggestion and tape it to your legs try to reduce the smell a bit. To reduce the smell you might want to double bag your weed in sandwich bags. Then roll the bags up really tight and smear vasoline on it until there is a thick and even coat covering the entire surface. Then put it in yet another sandwch bag and then put it in one more bag for good measure. Just use a bunch of layers and some vasoline, and the smell should be pretty well contained.

A very choppy explanation, but hopefully you can understand what I'm trying to say.

 

i know what you mean, i'll put the weed in an unused dimebag, and tape the dime bag up with electrical tape, then i will smear the tape with vasoline (as you suggested), I will then wrap it in two unused sandwhich bags, each with a small air freshener in it, and then tape it to my leg...damn thats gonna be uncomfortable

I dont even know if i'll do it yet...

 

wear dirty sucks too. no one will want to try to smell that.but seriously though, if you go running or something on those socks, or just wear them for a long time, and do what topnotchstoner said. that should probably work.

or make brownies!

 

It is now standard procedure in the US to have a bomb-detecting dog patrol at least once a day at all international airports. I do not believe it is required, but your odds of running into that dog are fair. I do a lot of traveling, and have seen more and more dogs since 9/11

Statistically, more people are arrested for marijuana in luggage than on their person, so you are probably better off keeping it on your person. Secondly, make SURE YOU PASS THE METAL DETECTOR TEST. If you smoke a lot of weed you are rather likely to freak out when they begin searching you, as I do. Better to avoid that situation. These are the steps I use to get bud through airports, I recommend you do the same:

1) Make your bag as Flat as possible, then place it into another bag.

2) Liberally coat the bag with PETROLEUM JELLY. Do not use Vaseline or any other petroleum jelly based medicines. Petroleum Jelly by itself is rather scentless, but does a good job of sealing the bag to prevent the smell from escaping.

3) This yellow on purple color scheme is surprisingly easy on my bloodshot eyes... sorry.

4) Place the bag covered in jelly into another bag, just as recommended before.

5) Instead of placing into a fourth bag, wrap your product tightly with a small piece of fabric such as a handkerchief, sock, or Crown Royal bag (what I use). The fabric will reduce the noise produced by bag in jelly over bag in bag... it's right, I swear. Read it again

6) Place your entire 'package' into an UNUSED pocket. I prefer to use my rear-right pants pocket, and store my wallet in my left. If you plan to place your 'package' into a jacket pocket, take extra care to ensure you can pass through the metal detector with it on. Watch other people pass through to see how security is. It is not uncommon to be forced to remove shoes, belts, and jackets.

If you can go without it, I highly recommend that you do. Keep in mind that getting busted in an airport is a big deal - as you are bringing illegal contraband into the country. Consider this: you may hate to be without bud while traveling, but you will most certainly hate yourself more if you get arrested and thrown in prison in a foreign country.

If you choose to risk it, I'll think you'll find my plan a good one. Just remember that it's more important to keep the package flat than it is to keep it small... and good luck! Note that I have never tried this method flying internationally. And of course, as a US citizen it's relatively easy to get BACK into the country.

 

put it in your sock that your gonna be wharing on the plane...they wont search there...they shouldnt search at all unless the metal detecter goes off...just make sure u have no METAL AT ALL ON YOU and you should be fine...wrap it in somthing for the smell

 

I think that it should be harder getting it out of the US, rather than getting it in. When I went in February, they did minimal searching when we got off.

 

I don't know why you wouldn't have it wrapped unless your feet are really strong smelling. I love to carry my bud unwrapped all over the place. Usually behind my ear when I go into the courthouses, as to hide it from the cops.
