This morn I got them out. I was gonna make a skirt since my best friend lost tons of weight and they were a 36" waist. I made them for her a few years back. She's now a size 8/10. Anyway I studied them and realized they were high waisted (mens). I could reduce the inside leg seam 1-1/2" and that made them more low rise. I put 2 darts in the back and I'll wait to see if it needs 2 more. I can still take more in at the crotch too. Added a purple (her fave color) pocket, some bear buttons and a butterfly dead bear patch. And she told me to just sell them on Ebay. Won't she be surprised with her gift! Somethin old made new again, Have a Jerry Christmas my friend!!
Thanks, took a little bit o time but not bad. Seems everything I make for her goes together well. Guess cause she's such a kind loving person. I did paint faces on the buttons and put some velcro on the pocket. The eyes on the bears are glass beads. I think I'll touch up the faces on the bears with fabric paint instead of a Sharpie marker. It really sucked taking that bottom hem piece off with a single edge razor blade and seam ripper to get rid of the double inseam as i had it sewn pretty heavy. Then didn't even need to so that sucked! The pocket came off a jumper and was kinda angled on one side so I split the side seam threads and sewed it into it. I so hope they fit now!! Thanks for the compliments tho everyone!!
