AHHH!! LOVe love love . such a pwoerful 4 letter word. just want you to know there is much love here from me.! LOVE happy trippin
you'll get a resounding "hear, hear!" from me, as well. sadly, that doesn't always (or even usually) seem to be the case...
hey man dont throw out the other emotions ever felt a really good depression?i think it feels great, you can just sit in the dark with a frown on your face feeling like worthless garbage...ahhhh nice
But you can't have one without the other.... I agree, being depressed can be cool... like I get really good ideas and stuff straigtened out when I get depressed...
The state of depression isn't enjoyable, however, as corduroy posted, such states enact a sort of "self-realization" or "self-evaluation" phase that's quite healthy. Such states or phases are normal in life, and should be dealt with on a consitutional basis (e.g, "Do I do <action> too much?" as opposed to the adjunctional "Should I kill myself?" attitude usually experienced by angst-ridden teenagers. Oftentimes in a depressive state, I question my tendency to take for granted for the things I already have (or have had), and more than conesquently the correpsondence is that, indeed, I should take more care of what I already have than to move forward to find new ideals worth of admiration. This capacitates the need for capitalistic, and unhealthy, viewpoints and interjects new archetypes with which to base my moral foundries on...
Imho, love is the most powerful drug in the world. People would do everything for it. Since the beginning of the world, love and the absence of love (a.k.a. hate) have been the powers that made the world go round...
Love as a hard drug...hmm. For some reason I don't agree. I mean yes, people are always looking for it. And I guess if we examine history we can find that people have died "for it" and so on. But "feeling" of love...while great, doesn't compare in intesity to the feelings which other drugs bring on. And isn't the feeling, mental realizations and such the reason we do drugs. Has love ever expanded your mental horizons like, say acid? Has love ever made you feel so charged up like say, coke? Has love ever make you feel as chilled out as say, weed? I don't know. I dont want to knock love because it is great, but as drug? not the hardest thing I've tried.
ive seen people smash glass beer bottles over there head for love. huge wars are started for love. best friends are broken because of love. I haven't experenced true LOVE, which is unconditional love, but if anyone does,,,,,,,it is the most powerful feeling.(not real,ly a drug). Hell, it is love that keeps us alive, thats why we feel so alive when we love. There needs to be more love in this world. i started this thread not to say LOVE=drug. but to spread LOVE to each of you. let you know that ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE. dont forget that. many trips of mine keep telling me that this world needs more love..
I stand corrected. I guess the rush of love is something powerful. I think my point is more accurate when talking about love as found in a marriage lasting several years. You feel love and stong love at times, but it's not that intense...
Well, the word love is a limited definition. See, the greeks were smart and they realized that there is more than one type, and gave each one a different name. Is it love for a country or tribe, love between a man and a woman (which btw, the greeks considered a curse) or the love of god for man? Persnonally, i don't really think anyone is that good. And the withdrawls suck.
all so true...but without LOVE what would we have? would anything be worth the experence if love isn't involed in any way?indierctly?directly? life doesnt exist without love........
it is like a drug... certain reactions, chemicals in your brain.... and it's completely amazing. AND, it's still legal. well, with limitations on marriage, but they haven't found a way to stop the love itself yet. love every single person who's existence you're aware of, with all of your heart. and see what happens.
