i think shorthairz are just as welcome as longhairz...doesnt change the person they are, here we dont care what people look like, its their soul we are interested in...but not in a creepy way....

Yeah, being awesome isn't limited to long or short hair. Although I prefer having long, shorthairz are okay too.

 

The coolest people don't give a shit if people look at them and assume that they're cool. They don't necessarily dress the part. They're so not caught up in their image that they don't care if people think their hair is hip enough or not.


Those are the really interesting people: undercover hipsters who don't try too hard to advertise their hipness. They're authentic. And some of them have long hair, but not for your benefit, they just like it. And some of them have short hair, because they like it that way. It's got nothing to do with you.

There's a certain freedom, too, to being able to go undercover and move stealthily through 'normal' once in a while. It can be liberating.

Hip is an array of perspectives, not a dress code.

I know a cop with long hair, actually. I know a bunch of cops with long hair. Some of them are native american indians, so the long hair is sort of a stereotypical given. But I do know a white cop with long, blonde hair. He's pretty cool, actually. He gave my buddies and I a ride home one night when it started raining really hard outside.
