>I wrote this to put on a MySpace bulletin and I wanted to post it on here too. Yeah its not very good but I wrote it in like 5 minutes and it was exactly how I was feeling. Hatred is fed by ignorance. The world can not ever be made into a better place until we learn to accept each other. Race, religion, gender, sexuality, the labels we've been given... none of that is important. We are all people. Everyone deserves to be equal. We can not truly be happy until we learn to better ourselves, and in turn, we will better the world. As a whole, becoming and doing less than our highest capablity disgraces the generations before ours. The generations who fought for everything we have now. It is our job to take what we have been given and make it into so much more. Our world has a much higher potential. We, as individuals, have a much higher potential. Are you ready... to give the next generation something they can make better... so that years from now... and many generations after them, we can finally reach our highest potential, so that we can be a happier people? The only thing we can do to achieve our goals is unite... put the historical boundaries of race, religion, gender, and sexuality behind us. Liberate your minds. Free yourself from society's death grip before the pureness of your souls is crushed.
hatred is fed by a lack of objectivity..... I know a whole lot about a whole lot of things that I still hate.... if we were objective maybe we wouldn't hate, but we think that subjectivity is a high calling, some sort of "oh but something sad happened so you can't make gallows humour or be candid because you'll whatever" or taking a brothers word above a strangers simply because he is your brothers.... objectivity is what this world lacks and objectivity is the salve unfortunatly people are unwilling to excise subjectivity from themselves because then they aren't following human nature guess what, human nature is to over come human nature and whatever other obstacles exist or at least that's what humanists keep telling me maybe human nature is to bitch about a problem and not do anything to fix it that actually would fix it, come up with make believe solutions and applaud people who say the real solutions are wrong because they "rob us of out humanity" I guess our humanity is suffering if that last one is true then....
wow, that was beautiful. You mind if I post this on myspace bulletins as well? And link it to your email or something? Or not?
screw negative and depressing, steel is grey but that does not mean it is weak... gold is pretty but that does not mean it is strong....
maybe i'm a bit too much of an optimist but where does being negitive get us? It doesn't help us achieve anything. If we all agree that there are problems in the world and that there are things that we agree upon- shouldn't we work together to fix them?
It's a beautiful thing to see so many realise that love it truely the only way throught this thing called life. I love you all and hope the best for all of you.
Sure thats fyne. And thanx to the rest of you who read and left comments. Even those of you who didn't agree I appreciate you takin the tyme to tell us ur opinion.
I may not be the most clearheaded person on the forums but it seems to me that JiFFyBaByFLYaWaY and Quest_techie are both right. I see no fundamental disagreement in their posts and tend to support both.
