Hey, I'm new to these forums Not quite so new to the mindset and philosophies shared here though, as my upbringing was a fairly hip one, my dad having been a hippy back in the day an' all. I found this place through hippy.com and it's awesome to be here among so many of my likeminded brothers and sisters Everyone seems to have so much experience and wisdom to offer! I spose I'd better share a little about myself... well, I'm very into the performing arts - acting, singing, dancing, the whole shebang. I love travelling, especially in Cornwall. Has anybody been to the Eden project? It's amazing! What about those hemp fields, hmm? I totally couldnt believe my eyes. I'm also very into astrology, music (especially Hendrix, best guitarist EVER), art and philosophy. My favourite thing to do is lie on the beach at night and look up at the stars, it makes me feel like we're all part of something really big. Peace, Rowan
Hey there Rowan, My last insignificant other was a Sagittarius, but that’s another story…This welcome is all about you…Your writing style is very mature for one as young as yourself…The performing arts are absolutely awesome it seems that once the bug bites it’s there to stay…Your Dad sounds cool and yes, we are a bunch of like minded individuals…Experience comes with age and if one lives long enough perhaps wisdom too…As far as Jimi Hendrex, he was a very good guitarist, but in my opinion maybe not the best, one must figure in Steve Vai, Frank Zappa, Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Eddie Van Halen, the list could go on and on…When I first went to college I was an art major, I still have some of the paintings I did back then…Yes, lying on the beach at night with the sound of the surf lapping at waters edge and the heavens filled with twinkling stars is one of the best experiences in the whole world and if one is lucky enough perhaps a shooting star as well, all I have to do is close my eyes and I am able to enjoy that experience all over again. I recently found "The Hip Forums" myself and I know what it’s like to be a newcomer. You don’t really know what to say or how to act. Read some of the threads so you can get the gist of what topics are being discussed. When you feel comfortable jump right in and get your feet wet. Nobody here is going to "Flame" you, that just isn’t tolerated here (unless it’s necessary) lol. We get some assholes here who just want to stir up bad vibes... From what I’ve found so far is that we are one big family with many brothers and sisters.
