I received this forward fram a friend and am personly apppaled by it. I just wondered what you all think.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this Happen?" (regarding Katrina)
Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Well, c'mon. You can't tell a whole school to pray. Since when is everyone Christian? And I honestly think that if they wanted too, a student could pray privately. I have a friend who does it, and I've done it before. We didn't get in trouble. And I think they added that point about her being murdered to make us see the consequences of doing something so unChristian! If we knew why she was murdered, it would help( or hurt) their case a bit. Maybe she was murdered because she forbid school wide prayer, maybe for some other reason totally unrelated. It surely doesn't prove anything.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school . the Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Hey, guess what? So does the Quran! Wow! Get this: [Quran: 7:199] ......You shall resort to pardon, advocate tolerance, and disregard the ignorant.

[Quran 6:151] "...... You shall not kill - GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may understand."

“As to the thief (man or woman) let their hands be cut off, a retaliation for what they did, a punishment from Allah. (5:38 )

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.

Why is spanking good? And people commit suicide a lot, whether they were spanked or not. Maybe that is just proving Dr. Spock's inadequeties? Maybe if they told us why he commited suicide it would help(or harm) their argument. There is no proof that spanking is good.
Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says

Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

    Are you laughing?
Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they WILL think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Hell, maybe we don't send it because we don't beleive it. What do you think?

Europe was almost exclusively christian during the bubonic plague, which wiped out about half the population.

During that time religion dominated almost every aspect of peoples lives.

Miss Graham sounds like one of those fanatics who truly believes that deep down everybody knows christianity (her brand of course) is the "true" religion but most people pretend like they don't because they don't want to give up their "sinful" lifestyles.

What other explanation can there be for someone having an opinion that differs from hers? Obviously the rest of us are just weak or evil.

i think this is in a thread already somewheres, but that is long gone cause i doubt ayone will go and find it

Interesting Fact: Traditional Baptist faith was completly against any legalization of religion and was against putting "God" in the constitution of a State or country, and also against putting prayer in schools--oh my how far have we come...or haw far backwards have we gone?

also traditioanl Baptists believed on "soul compentency" where we can trust our concience, unlike todays teachings where Satan will constantly trick us and we shoudl believe in what we think

That same fucking email goes around after every disaster, with names changed to fit the specific instance. It's all bullshit, God doesn't send fucking hurricanes to kill the infidel!
