He he. I don't think it matters whether someone is liberal (Iam) or radical (I am) or conservative (I'm not). Leftist, rightist, all that shit... all that matters is that we are kind to each other, and Lord allmighty we don't seem to take to kindness easy.

It amazes me that lying about getting a blow job in the Oval Office (correct you are lurker) is somehow considered an impeachable offense, and yet somehow a preemptive strike based on lies, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives, is not, what was that crap about "moral values" again? The Christian Right will win until justice is served...but I digress, this isn't a forum on politics after all...

Getting a blow job in the oval office is not an impeachable offense, if it was almost every president would have been at risk. Lying in federal court is an impeachable offense and that was why clinton was impeached.

 

Abbie Hoffman

Abbie Hoffman was a leader of the Youth International Party. At trial, Hoffman described himself as "an orphan of America" and "a child of Woodstock Nation." He was, perhaps, the most intriguing figure in Judge Hoffman's courtroom. Hoffman believed that identity is defined by myth propagated through the media.

Hoffman was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on November 30, 1936. He graduated from Brandeis in 1959, then picked up a master's degree at Berkeley. In the early 1960's, he returned to Worcester to work as a psychologist in a state hospital. His career in political activism began with his work for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee in the South. Hoffman was still relatively straight until 1966 when he turned onto drugs and began the loosely organized Yippie movement.

Hoffman went underwent plastic surgery and assumed the underground alias of "Barry Freed" in 1974 to avoid trial on charges of possessing cocaine. He stayed underground in upper New York state until 1980, when he surrendered to authorities. He was sentenced to a work-release program in 1981-82, then resumed his life of political activism. In 1987, Hoffman was arrested for the forty-second time while protesting CIA recruitment at the University of Massachusetts with Amy Carter and thirteen others.

At a 1988 reunion of the Chicago Seven, Hoffman described himself as "an American dissident. I don't think my goals have changed since I was four and I fought schoolyard bullies."

On April 12, 1989, Hoffman was found dead at his home in New Hope, Pennsylvania. The death was later ruled a suicide.

and type in what info you want,maybe that would help?

Think about it, Clinton lied about sex and got impeached, Bush lied about violence and did not...yet...

 

He didn't get impeached, he was tried for it but 2/3's needed voted him not guilty.

Gotta leave y'all-- on my way to my 40th high school re-union. I rented a room, can get completely wasted and maybe get lucky with Jeanie who always flies in from Seattle without her husband. (Five years ago, my old buddy Denny nailed her-- this time I'm hoping to beat him too the punch!)

 

My goodness, I can't leave for a day and people are walking all over this thread. I thought when I opened this forum it would be a nice pleasent vacation from the outside world. A place to relax and just hang out and talk like civlized human beings.
I imagained this to be a Garden of love and brotherhood of like minded souls that gather in frindship and comradry.
If ya'll want to bicker and be ugly acting, please do it outside the Garden Gate. This is not the place for being rowdy, or calling anyone down for their beliefs. Everybody read the rules when they signed up. Please abide by them.
