at work

I am at work but really have nothing to do. I am spending most of my day surfing the Internet. I feel guilty about this but i cant create a work for myself can i? My job load is up and down like this through the year and when it gets busy it gets crazy..I don't like sitting and doing nothing though. maybe i should change my job. btw I am a computer technician and technician trainer.

 

If i was you, I would sit back and relax. If you have to do something get yourself a book

 

Minus your last sentence, I think you just described a large portion of the work force....

 

If you genuinely feel guilty, do some volunteer work in your spare time Help out at an old folks home, a nursery or a school without gettin paid. Pick litter from the streets.
If youre not guilty then enjoy it i have a friend who earns a more than average wage for standing in the doorway of asda supervisin the kiddies that ride on the 20p ride while their parents pay at the checkout.
Yet there are genuinely hard workers who are poor.

you shouldn't feel guilty at all. really. enjoy your free time!

 

how bout this. whenever you don't have to do anything, i'll come in and do your work for you, and you can take a vacation.

 

my job is manily being on call for other colleagues i.e. I am not needed until there is a problem with the systems. we have a huge network but the system is set so well it doesn't fail...i am going to France fir work next week to train some technicians though..so something to look forward to.
