Views on Ginsberg

    I love Beatnik literature, especialy Allen Ginsberg. A friend of mine described him as "degenerate" which isn't so far from the truth. On the other hand, a judge in 1957 declared Ginsberg's poem Howl to have "redeeming social value" What do you believe? YOU BE THE JUDGE!!

    Degenerate, maybe. Amazing writer, positively! I've been reading Bukowski a ton lately, and found I don't like him as a person, but his writing is beautiful...seperate the person from the performance...

    i dont know, i wouldn't exactly call him "degenerate". even though a lot of his stuff was made specifically for the time period he was writing in, his words can still be applied to modern day society. he's my favorite "beat" writer.
