HI again I would like to try growing from seed. The strain is a very good one with a large yeild.I have heard that the male plants are high in thc but you need to get them off a table before they make pollen. Is this true and about how long should i wait before taking them off?
I read somewhere once that you can only smoke the female plants because they are the only ones to bud. The males don't bud and when you smoke pot, you smoke the buds.
I'm not positive, but pretty sure that both bud and have THC, but the females have a higher concentration of it than the males.
male plants grow pollen sacks that look like little balls. you wait for the males to grow till the point when these sacks are clearly visible but not yet opened this is when you harvest them you can smoke the leaves and pollen sacks strait but it wont get you very high males have some thc in them but nowhere near the potency of even shitty females my suggestion is to either cook or make hash with them. just remember to seperate the males from females b4 the pollen sacks open or else youll end up with a crop of seedy females
males have such little amount of thc its not worth it. its like how male humans can produce milk. you never see it happenin but it can, and there are nipples. males can produce thc but its pretty much dormant and you wont find someone smokin males to get high. though the male flowers can smell and taste nice, like flowers would.
He's right, males have all the 'equipment' in place to make milk, we're just missing one thing: the hormone Estrogen
well we arent missing it, its just in too low levels. similarly, male plants have the genes to produce thc but their hormones dont activate the genes, so they will activate here and there but not in sufficient quantities. males in certain stress conditions can produce milk. but its really bad for a man to do so i believe because it drains a lot from the body
the hormone Estrogen isnt what makes the actual milk... you need the glands that make it and all that shit...
males have mammary glands they just aren't active. i've never heard of male plants containing much THC.
the estrogen however, as said, turns on the milk, in effect. eostrogen turns on breast genes, tostesterone would turn on hair and miscle growth instead.
