Horizontal lip piercings

anyone have a lip piercing thike this?
I think its prety but am worried about healing time and pain after piercing..I had a lip ring and pain wasnt an issue right after but this seems different

What do yall think?

 

I have a vertical labret.



That was actually one of the most painful piercings when it came to healing time. Peircing it wasn't that bad but it gets tender. The lips are softer tissue and the most painful part was drinking or getting food into my mouth. Although it's still livable and I love the looks of mine and feel it was worth the discomfort. If you like it, get it.

 

also the horizontal lip piercing does don't just go through the lip, like it looks something like the eye brow.. but instead it goes through the lip out the lip and back into it. It's a different piece of jewelery for it aswell. It would hurt equally to getting two piercings at once. If you do not get this piercing done as I have mentioned it will reject because the force of skin behind and around is a lot greater than the force the jewelery is creating.

 

I don't think I would get it done...not because of the pain factor, but...MAN! That could totally get in the way during a makeout session...LOL

That's not a horizontal Piercing. That's 2 vertical piercings. If you look in the girl's mouth you can see the balls to the tops of each piercing.

And horizontal piercings are just not a good idea in the first place. Think about how much movement your lip does. Now try and imagine a straight metal bar in there... Yeah, not a good idea. Not only that, but I can't imagine very many piercers willing to do a piercing like that.

 

Well I dont know about that becuase if you look at bmezine under lip piercings there is a whole section of horizontal...which is where I got the image and there are plenty more like it....

I was thinking maybe if the bar was curved it would work better?

not sure what they use for horizontal lips.. the pic above doesnt use a surface bar anyway..

ive got a 2cm wide surface bar in the back of my neck (nape) and wow.. love that shit

 

That dude's lip is pierced with a PTFE or "teflon" barbell. (Note the white sticking out of his lip!)

I'm telling you that chick has two vertical lip piercings that's she trying to pass off as a horizontal.

Hell, you can do whatever you want.. I've had several surface piercings, and they all either grow out or get so fucking pissed off that it's a chore to keep them!

I agree with Albin0 on this one. It really is 2 vertical piercings. You can see the two back balls in her mouth.

horizontal's are nothing more than a surface piercing, such as your neck or collarbone.

i am absolutely in love with this piercing, and will, more likely than not, get it when i have the money for it.

if you want it, go for it. they look absolutely rad, in my opinion. just make sure the size you get, if you get it, fits with your lips, because if it's too big, or too small, it will just look stupid.
