Anybody else in rehab?

Well it sucks if you arn't. To top it off im in the "highest" branch of it IOP or some bullshit. I have to go 4 times a week for 4 hours. Now that I had to plan all my classes around that I don't have any time for a job which means I won't beable to pay for school. Hopefully I can get a loan from the bank or start begging my parents.

 

at least your not an in-patient, so many people who go to my school have been to in-patient, and there all still using

 

Yeah, I plan on smoking again when I get out. Im in intensive out patient. All we talk about is what makes us use (Like feelings and emotions and shit like that) Im like I don't use drugs when Im in a certain mood, I use because I feel like using. They think that everyone has a underlying problem =/

none of my friends have been in rehab just for weed, it's mainly coke and pill addictions, but they just so happen to smoke weed too, going to rehab for just weed is just plain stupid

(Hey uh, if your parents force you into inpatient rehab, what do the rehab guys do if you try to leave? Just call the cops, or actually try to stop you?)

My friend smoked a joint last year, and his parents found out and sent him to in-patient rehab for 3 months. This was in the last quarter of the school year, so he failed all his classes (B's and A's for grades) and had to retake 9th grade.

 

B's and A's are good buddy...

 

He had A's and B' but he missed too many days to get credit. I think.

 

Any parent that sends their child to rehab for smoking weed when he is causing no problems deserves to be shot twice in each leg, as to break both lower and upper leg bones. Then their lips and ears cut off for calling the rehab people in the first place.

 

Actually every time I get busted they tell me either I go to rehab and get a lower fine and charge so I take it. It is my 3rd time and I didn't know they were putting me in this shit. And no I do more stuff than smoke some of my previouse charges were for different things.

 

Yeah, I had that happen one semester of highschool (not the rehab, the missing too many days). I would get A's when I was there, but I just wasn't there enough so the zeros added up along with the A's and I ended up failing nearly everything.

 

I absolutely agree and I think that the parent is just awfull. Because it would be like them saying we can't handlle you so go to the police it has happened to me beffore so like i know what you are sayin but not as violent

hey, some parents are just as brainwashed as the kids in DARE programs; much of the time they really think their children are addicted to an herb of death, and that rehab is the best way to deal with it. they just need to be informed of the truth, so the won't respond in that fashion

 

Hahaha, an herb of death. I just got busted with alcohol a couple of weeks ago and the rent-a-cop at my school was also my DARE officer in sixth grade. She gave me this huge lecture of all this bullshit about how she was my dare officer and never expected it from me and where did I go wrong? It was killing me to keep from laughing, and I refused to talk to her. She finally told me that if I "wasn't going to cooperate with her" there was nothing she could do to help me. I told her that was fine, I didn't need her help. She didn't appreciate that. I hate that woman. She maced herself once, trying to break up a fight. Most incompetent rent-a-cop ever!

But to the rehab bit...yea, I've had a lot of friends who landed themselves in rehab, but only one was there for pot. Her parents found her stash and went completely crazy, she was in rehab for the whole summer and came back preaching the evils of pot. Shortly after she discovered her dad was a stoner and got back into the habit.

 

I was in a rehab for heroin and crack addiction there was a lad in there who just smoked weed all it did was put him in contact with hard drug takers. There was more drug taking in the rehab than anywhere (what do you expect putting drug takers together.) If you smoke just weed a rehab is the last place you need to be.

 

America sounds insane.


We don't really have a massive rehab culture in England.

You hear about the odd Celeb going in,...

and people for coke, smack, crack etc...

But the whole idea of Parents shipping there kids off to rehab for weed or drink is mad.
