ok, cool... i saw patchouli and sandlewood at the store, no nag champa but i didn't look that much, i'll try some of those tommorrow. and does it make a difference if it's cones or sticks?
Yes, the cones create much smoke... You won't smell anything else in your room for the next three days ... Nag champa is great... I even found Cannabis incense cones. They smell very good, too. But unfortunately you don't get high of them. They smell different from a joint.
I have opium sticks. They're pretty fab. Let's see what else I have lying around here... Cedar, pine, vanilla, strawberry, honeysuckle, patchoulli, enchanted forest (!), and that's apparently it... yay for smells!
Go with the Nag. Oh yes. Vanilla and Coconut and Sandlewood are also quite nice. I like incense sticks, personally.. cones are ok.. but ..ehh. anyhow.
definitely nag but patchouli and sandalwood are good too ive used both cones and sticks...but i definitely gotta agree that sticks are the best to use
I also like vanilla, coconut and strawberry. Had some peppermint too. Try finding a place where they sell sticks apiece, you can smell them better than when they're packaged, and just pick out the ones you like best!
ooooooh and they have so much more variety that way too! My little hemp/bead shop that I used to go to(it closed. it was my favourite store too.) had a huge rack of incense sold apiece, and they must have had 100 different scents. ooooh it was lovely. Only trouble is, it costs so much more. I don't even know if it's worth it for the price you have to pay.
I got 12 boxes of Nag Champa off ebay for 13 quid. And it's normally 3quid per box in town so that was the job
You're right... that is a problem if you burn a lot of it... I don't use it that often so I hadn't really thought of that... but I'd still recommend it to people who're new to incense. After all, you can just go there to find which ones you like best, & from then on buy your favorite kinds by the pack -or at least those that are sold by the pack
I use morningstar... It's a pure stick with know wood tip so it's all burnable incense and it comes with its own little holder.... It's hand roled so it's burns slower I think but some say it burns faster.... I use Lavender and Jasmine mostly....
Has anyone else noticed that at a "hippie" concert everyone and everything smells like inscense? Or is it just me? I personally love the smell so it's not a bad thing just an observation. Much love to all Dani
word of caution when choosing patchouli: make sure you smell it before you buy it. there is more fake/crappy smelling patchouli out there, at least where i live, than the real stuff that smells good. i remember the good ol' days when you could walk into a record store, pick up some patchouli inscence, and know what you were buying. now a days, you have to smell it first to make sure its really patchouli, and not just labeled patchouli. anyway, yeah patchouli and nag champa are the best
