Treated to a rarity: great weather. Only a little too much sun on Sunday to spoil a blissful day in the hills. And I do mean hills. Marvin's Mountaintop lives up to its name. I even entertained myself on Thursday night by sitting and looking at the faces at the top of the kill-hill the campers where taking to their resting place. More than one looked like that might be true in the "final r.p." sense. I know that the great blue heron shuttles people up a slight grade and into the woods with a tractor and wagon. ALL GOOD made people walk a hill one could rapel (SP?) down.....they had a tractor there and there were tons of friends to be made with a little ride....but, that said, it was a great fest, and there were no casualties from the hill climbs..

The sounds guys did a great job. The first day the sound was a little harsh at the sound tent distance, but that was fixed and the sound was nearly perfect from every point.

The crowd was mellow and had a family atmosphere. There was somewhat of a backup getting in but it was handled well as could be done and everyone maintained.

The music was one main stage with quick change-overs. Enough time to book to camp and back between the later acts.

I loved the line-up. Special thanks to Dark Star Orchestra who played a dank set(s) of a 80's Dead show including the encore from that show.THEN played an encore and THEN, after the crews had started breaking down the gear, played another encore. It was just reward for the fans who had sweltered in the only uncomfortable heat of the weekend to have a couple of extra songs played in the cool of the twilight. I thought the last song was just a little magical because of that........

May all your festys be this good.
