Ok everybody is talking about rastafaris as a new great religion, but they beleive that Haile Sellassi is a living God....! P..leaz! WHAT A JOKE... Did u know what a DICTATOR he was! ? against his own kind in Ethiopia and the people from erithrea also, he was not so different from the babylom crowd.... An empereror, how can you fight babylon and at the same time worship a dictator/emperor?
I hate babylon very much myself, but a dictator is a dictator....... i don't care about the colour fo his skin

Hallie Selassie was the FIRST African leader to kick out the colonial powers: Mussolini (yeah, that's a good leader for ya), giving the semi educated BAck-to Africa adherants a new lease on faith.
"Mighty G-d is a living man" and woman. Might G-d is in everyone who seeks truth and freedom.

ok, it is really starting to make me sad about your bitterness. if this is just because you got your ass kicked in your other topic please don't take it out on I. All I want is love and overstanding. you don't seem like a happy person, just someone out to prove people wrong. I will pray for you.
However, I rise above this, and will take your testing, oh man, I sure hope I pass, what will YOU think of I then, because it really matters fe I because I really love peace... well, half of that was truth. I only care about what JAH think but I do want peace, I hope in time we can be friends and this bitchy war will be over.
In admittance, I KNOW that I am a child of Jah, I have bowed my head and cried my tears sat at the foot of Yeshwua and Haile Selassie I fe my previous ignorance. and I still think all I know is a tiny drop in the ocean too! but I still can know truth. you are sticking to RasTafarI as if it is a religion, but it's not, RasTaFarI is LIFE!
If you want to reason there are other ways to go about this sort of reasonings and not so brutally.
I will answer ALL your other questions on your other topic.
    Peace and much love, xx

ok I can't reply... the thread is closed, which means I can't look back to all your questions. but nevermind, I don't need to prove anything to do. If you judge I that is your choice, but it may make you a hypocrite just like the Ible preaches against.

the only reason i said this is because i read this

seems like you got upset in my thred because i said something similar to this ( more or less stating that some people on here sound like they don't know a lot about rasta but talk about it like they know everything), now that I called you out on saying something along the lines of the same thing you are mad at me for pointing it out?

listen....the H.I.M. was not rasta, and that he did not want to be worshiped was a fruther pillar in their belief, because the living god and messiah was humble...and it's not a what do you choose...it's what belief the individual can identify with, and some people identifiy with the struggle and oppression more then they can with the uber rich appereance of say the catholic church...don't get me wrong, i dont think that any of us can identifiy with say, living at back-o-wall, or shanty town...but, it all boils down to what you belief, and please, don't attack us for what we belief to be true, because i wouldn't do that to you!

kayy there are somethings you need to learn about HIS Majesty. Haile Selassie I is a being who should be respected/feared/loved.

Many people get confused Not all rasta see haile as god or jesus incarnate

The Twelve Tribes of Israel is a Rastafarian group founded in Kingston, Jamaica, and now functioning worldwide. Its founder, Vernon Carrington, was known as Prophet Gad, and taught his students to read the Bible 'A Chapter A Day'.

Twelve Tribes of Israel (Ysrayl) Rastafarian organization accept Yahshuwah (jesus )The Messiyah/Yesus Kristos as Master and Saviour, and H.I.M. Haile Selassie I as divinely chosen by the Creator to represent him on earth and not jesus himselfHes like a teacher of a preacher . Due to the stigma associated with slavery and the false/pagan use of the name "Jesus" by enslavers/colonialist not practicing what they preached, it is preferred to use the ancient names of The Messiah (Ha Mashiyahch) which is Yahshuwah, Yahoshua or Yahshua (original sacred Hebrew name) and/or Yesus/I-Yesus Kristos (Amharic/Ge'ez name).

H.I.M. is seen as a divinely anointed king in the lineage of King David and King Solomon. While he is considered a type/representation of The Messiyah in Kingly Character, he is not Yahshuwah The Messiyah/Yesus Kristos himself, but a representative of the everlasting Davidic covenant, which is to be fulfilled by The MessiahYahshuah/ I-Yesus Kristos when he returns as The Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Yahudah).

The Twelve Tribes symbology is based on Yahqob's (Jacob's) 12 sons, and correspond to the months of the ancient Ysraylite (Israelite) calendar, beginning with April and Reuben. The Most High Jah/Yah/YHWH gave Yahqob a new name which was Ysrayl (Israel). Some people further relate the 12 Tribes to metaphysical signs. Thus Bob Marley came from the Tribe of Yowseph (Joseph), the eleventh of the biblical Ysrayl's (Israel's) twelve children (because he was born in February). The name Levi in Ijahman Levi represents the third child who was born to Yahqob (Jacob). Another well known reggae group of this organization is Israel Vibration.

Bob Marley, by quoting a biblical passage about Yowseph (Joseph) on the album cover of Rastaman Vibration, was acknowledging his own support for this sect. Dennis Brown, Freddie McGregor, Mikey Dread and many other roots reggae artists were associated with The Twelve Tribes of Israel (Ysrayl).
