yes it is... i was a junior in high school when they announced to the three of us (the kids from my mom's first marriage) that they were pregnant(my mom and stepdad)... and i was a bit freaked out. i'm old enough to be her mom, but now it's not a big deal.. you get used to it i'm pretty sure it was planned too...
