Toilet Paper is such a waste of resources that I can't even begin to imagine how many trees are murdered, and pollution is barfed into our air & water in order to produce it.

And all for what?

So we can flush it down the toilet, and further pollute our water.

I imagine personal wash cloths would work. Would involve WASHING of the wash clothes frequently of course.

Thats great, but it can't be denied that the Amazon is disappearing fast.

Planting trees in the suburbs will not make destroying forests ok. Forests contain ecosystems that are fragile, whereas trees in the suburbs are really just there to look nice.

Or there is the middle eastern/asian version: it works niceley, and is a lot cleaner then toilette paper

Reusable flannel wipes work wonders. Just take old flannel shirts and cut them into 4x4 inch squares and sew three together. Keep a bucket of sawdust near the toilet to place the used wipes and then do a load of wash once it gets half full.

Or like another person mentioned...buy toilet tissue made from recycled materials.

 

Some use newspaper but i don't like the idea of being able to read the daily news on my arse (or other places ;-)

or indian style: you'll get a very clean butt, but your left hand might be maybe 100% superclean (but it works in those countries).
Thai people actually use a smart system where there is a system donnected to the toilet showering the crack with quite a high pressure, really cleaning the area. And thai people actually look daown on us westerners, as dirty, because, actually, our system with toilet paper is not really clean! Is you wet a cloth after you wipped your ass with paper, take this wet cloth and apply it on the area, you'll get shit remains....
So don't be so proud of your toitet paper system.....
