The market is having a sale on collard greens and im itching for fresh ones so i was wondering whats the best way to give them a better taste (when you boil them) besides adding bacon grease. Any ideas?

Don't boil them! Saute them in a pan with garlic and maybe onions (using olive oil). Add salt and pepper, and some lemon juice. Maybe a little bit of cayenne pepper. Good to go.

Collard greens are a leafy plant that doesn't form a head. They're in the same family as mustard greens, kale, etc.

What I do,is boil them..then I fry them in vegetable oil.

closest thing I eat to that is swiss chard and beet tops, I usually just boil em down, drain them , then add some butter and salt and pepper and dig in.
