I found a box last week while going through my storage. Suddenly I was 17 again, with a leather jacket covered with long beaded fringe. I took the jacket out of the box and hung it in the closet, just to go back from time to time. Seems like it was just last month that I bought Pearl. Now I read your profiles and see that some of you are younger than my children. Peace!
Hi there Birdsong, my fringed, beaded leather jacket is still hanging in the closet. I take it out from time to time, just so it can breath again. I even wear it to town, just to freak people out, lol. I just went to my closet and took it out, I'm wearing it right now, still smells of Patchouly. Ah…Pearl, God rest her soul. Here’s one to think about, "Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes." Wow, all the memories even the ones you don’t remember. I’m just lucky that I made it out alive, some of our brothers and sisters didn’t. I had a brother drop dead right at my feet from a hot shot. Oh well, older and maybe a bit wiser. Life goes on in it’s petty pace. I'm listening to CSNY's - Helplessly Hoping, now it's "Wooden Ships." and again it's "Dark Star." A trip down memory lane, it's bringing tears to my eyes. Let me extend the welcome mat. I recently found "The Hip Forums" myself and I know what it’s like to be a newcomer. You don’t really know what to say or how to act. Read some of the threads so you can get the gist of what topics are being discussed. When you feel comfortable jump right in and get your feet wet. Nobody here is going to "Flame" you, that just isn’t tolerated here (unless it’s necessary) lol. We get some assholes here who just want to stir up bad vibes... From what I’ve found so far is that we are one big family with many brothers and sisters. Once again the doors open come on in, open up your heart and mind, put on some groovy tunes, kick back and stay awhile. Peace & Love, DDR "Ha, Ha, Ha – Ho, Ho, Ho and a couple of Tra, La, Las. That’s how we spend the day away in the merry old land Oz."
Wow! Love your gallery. Also, you were born on my daughter's 12th birthday. If you're anything like her, I dig ya!
I have one of my youngest daughter in the jacket. I'll put it in my gallery. Also, I'll post one of me and my first husband way back when.
Hey DDR, I still have my old albums. Once I told my step-daughter I had the original Cry Baby on a record and she had no idea what a "record" was. The steps were 10 and 13 when we got together. I thoroughly initiated them in Woodstock, etc. "Give me an F." I'm sure their Mom told them I am the Anti-Christ. Especially after I hypnotized one of them back into their childhood. haha I'll post a photo of my first husband and me with the first child. He had his own jacket, minus the beads. Enjoyed your welcome.
I'm a little fucked at this moment and I'm listening to Kirt as we speak. Come As You Are, Where Did You Sleep Last Night, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Lithium, What a drag he had to die, no matter what the cause.
aww thank you Well the only reasonable thing I can do is to confirm it, I'M LIKE HER lol Your digging me, I'm digging you, together we are digging eachother lol I also love your gallery, the pic of you in your hippietime is wonderful! Aww and the cute baby confirms the finishing touch of that era. Also diggin the jacket your daugther is wearing which was yours, it looks soooo nice
