Do you force yourself to do things and like things, for no apparent reason? I do. Like right now I am trying to force myself to like raisins. I don't really know why it even matters if I like them or not. I happen to think that they are vile, but nevertheless, I am eating them and pretending like I like them.
i did that same thing in the mid 80's trying to get myself to like hair bands. while i developed an affection for certain harder bands (iron maiden, metallica type bands, motorhead), i just couldn't bring myself to truly love poison and faster pussycat...okay, i kinda liked faster pussycat...
i unknowingly force myself to like things that other people dont like...i dont know y i do it..its weird
They do not have to eat every single day. An average kid can last about 3 or 4 weeks without food. You might want to try it yourself to check if I am right.
alot of times i force myself to like things i dont particularly like just cause someone else likes it. it happens with my girlfriend and sometimes with my friends. i just dont want them to have a bad time because they dont think im enjoying myself.
Liking certain food is a big issue. I remember early in life having heard someone say, "Olives are an acquired taste." It sounded to me to mean, if you learn to like them, you too can become as snooty as I. Anything that was referred to as an acquired taste all of a studden got put on a superior level. Every so often I will repeat things that I have historically hated just to make sure that the feelings are the same. Two things I can think of off hand are : I still hate the smell and taste of beer and I still hate being in the desert.
No, Birdie, that's CATS, not KIDS. I force myself to work out. Also, there was a time when I didn't like coffee or beer. There are a lot of things out there that are aquired tastes. However, Chrissy, if you don't like raisins, I give you my permission not to eat them.
I've been Trying to write with my Foot... Really...it's Fun... 'Cause if my Arms Fall Off one Day...then I'd be able to Still do Things... Like write...
Yes I Have Done This. I Tried....foodwise With Cottage Cheese. That Is Some Foul Shit. I Have Also Tried With People As Well. However I Realized That The More Energy I Try To Put Into Liking Something That I Don't Really Like, My Ego Counters It That Much More And I Become More Resentful Of That Thing
cottage cheese *shudders* I avoided it forever as it looks like a science project. finally last year I gave in - mind you I'll try anything once - and it confirmed my belief - it is indeed nasty.
