Does anyone practice qi gong? I took a class and ended up having to miss most of the sessions due to family emergency. I really would like to re-learn the movements because the little bit I did do it, I really felt better. I know someone who gives classes from time to time but he also teaches at a healing arts school so I'd have to get a class of 6 together for him to teach it. That and it's $150 that I don't have. But I was just wondering if anyone else knows qi gong and how they use it day-to-day.

I practive qigong along with yoga every day. It helps you feel unburdened kind of like the way you feel after taking a shower after a week without one(I just did this so maybe I could have picked a better example otherwise, haha). I mostly use it because it greatly helps you tune yourself into your body, so that you can tell what it wants. It eventaully becomes clear how your body wants to be stretched, where you're tensed, what kind of food would make you feel better, what kind of food would make you feel worse, etc. The reason that it's useful beyond that is because your emotions also become more clear, and your intentions become much easier to bring to your awareness. Basically, along with releasing a large amount of tension and balancing your body out, which is why you feel good in the short term, it also helps clarify what you're looking for both out of life and with your interaction with people, which is tremendously helpful in keeping a positive outlook and becoming happier.

Yah I completely agree with you. I really need to start meditating again. In fact, that's what I'm doing tonight before bed and tomorrow when I wake up. Thanks for your input!
