Telling Your Parents That You Smoke Weed

Although your right, you gotta look at it from a parental view too. Its your responsability to keep your kids safe right? Well when it comes to drugs, a lot of shit can happen. For instance... my parents didnt care about my brother smokin pot when he was my age (he's now 22), but then he started doin coke and shit like... alot of shit happend in between (stealing, prison here and there), and now he is in prison again for 5 years. And yes, I do blame weed from having a part in this, after all, its what he started on. Not saying I blame it entirley, but as a responsable weed smoker, you gotta respect parents for doing their job, and thats trying to prevent the kind of shit that happend to my brother. Enough said.

 

um....yeah. all my brothers have been in jail cuz of that shit too. but i wont get into that.

the thing is, marijuana may be a gateway drug, but its different for everyone. i am a good kid, an honors student, and im healthy. But i am also a major pothead. so apparently it isnt the end of the world. my parents know me & trust me with whatever descisions i make. i dont think that makes my parents irresponsible.

 

Im not sayin everyone will end up like my brother. But you never know for sure until it actually happens, and thats my point.

 

yeah, i understand. drugs pretty much ruined my life. my brothers were such feinds that they would slit their own woman's throat, rob a blind man, or even SUCK DICK for coke. it definetly hurts to see someone you love turn into a monster. life got so predictable when they only revolved around one thing. everytime the cops showed up at our door i went "oh snap, should have seen this one coming". i dont live with them anymore thank god, but my house is still under search &seizure and being watched for drug activity. ive seen those morons OD a hundred times, and once i came home and found blood & chunks of cartlige on my coffee table. i thought someone was murdered, but it turns out he just sneezed.

so yeah, if i was a parent with a dumbass kid i would care if they started smoking pot because some kids just cant limit themselves. but that doesnt apply to everyone

 

To me, it's all about WHY a kid does it. If my kid said he were doing it because it feels good (which undeniably it does) I wouldn't be as happy as if he said it was for spiritual purposes.

I think my parents pretty much know, but I'd love to just come out and tell them sometime. But no matter how rationally I explain the situation, I know they'll go all DARE officer on me, even though they're really not like that. Acting as though smoking weed makes you immoral.
