Has anyone read? I'm about half way through. Very informative book... I learned a lot about the history of medicine in the U.S., Europe and elsewhere.... as well as a lot of general history. The book is basically about the greatest plague/pandemic ever in history, which was the 1918 influenza virus which has killed more people worldwide then "the plague" and killed more people world wide in 24 weeks then AIDS killed in 24 years. Started in KS... and spread during the war mostly because of cramped military bases.... very good book.....
There is a book I want about germs.... can't remember the name ever but if I see the cover I am buying the damn book!!!!
I fucking found it!!!! When Germs Travel : Six Major Epidemics That Have Invaded America and the Fears They Have Unleashed
that's cool. if you read it, you'll have to let me know how it is. the great influenza was wonderful and since then i have also read a book called "plaque" that was really great too.
I read an interesting book once called "Fever 1793". It was a book I read years ago so I am not sure if you would be interested
i have that book sitting on the floor in my room. i was going to use it for a report but i changed my mind. maybe i'll check it out.
