    would it be okay to get a tattoo on my tounge ? like would my taste buds still work and stuff ?

    Yes, your taste buds would still work.

    Tongue tattoos never come out very well though, and most tattoo artists won't do oral tattoos.

    A friend of mine had it done and it washed off pretty much the next day. I think it was the fact that it's (obviously) constantly moist in your mouth.

    It doesn't "wash" off.. If a tattoo artist does it correctly it should stay, but it will definitely fade. The amount of movement the tongue does plays a huge part in healing and the overall look of the tattoo when it's healed.
