The state of legal issues surrounding marijuana in the UK:

POSSESION:

INFORMAL WARNING or CAUTION(FORMAL WARNING)

SUPPLY:

CUSTODIAL SENTENCE (normally long jail terms)

CULTIVATION:

Sentences range from INFORMAL WARNING to CUSTODIAL SENTENCE depending on what the circumstanmces are.

It is also apparently possible to gain a permit from the Home Office but that is rare (especially if you are clad in Bob Marley regalia).

Smoking Offences, if on your record, can have some serious implications on your life such as :

Visa applications

Job Applications

Loan applications

Difficulties with adopting or fostering children
