There are so many movies I like out there, but more than that there are scenes and lines that made an impression on me, or maybe just ones I found damn cool. For example: Sin City, Marv "that is one damn fine coat you're wearing" right before he takes the guy apart. or; Willy wonka (GW) "I'm not going to live forever, and I don't really care to try" What are some of your favourites?
Rear Window (1954). James Stewart (L. B. Jeffries) and Thelma Ritter (Stella) Stella: We've become a race of peeping toms. What people ought to do is go outside their own houses and look in for a change. There you are, how's that for a little homespun philosophy? Jeff: 'Reader's Digest' April, 1938. Stella: Well, I only quote from the best. And, from the most quotable movie of all time, Glengarry Glen Ross (1992). Al Pacino (Ricky Roma) and Alan Arkin (George Arronow). Roma: Did you rob the office? Arronow: No! Roma: Then don't sweat it, Geogre. You know why? Arronow: Why? Roma: Because you have nothing to hide. Arronow: I get nervous when I talk to the police. Roma: Yes. You know who doesn't? Arronow: No, who? Roma: Thieves. Arronow: I just... I don't know what I'm gonna tell them. Roma: The truth, George, always tell the truth. It's the easiest thing to remember.
Bitka na Neretvi(Battle on Neretva, an old yougoslavenian film, Orson welles was in it, it won an oscar i think, it's about yougoslavenian comunists fighting nacis and other facists so anyway this guy nikola has tifus(a disease, dont know how to say it in english) and he meets this other guy ivan after a long time and they start talking Ivan: Nikola, hi, are you ok? Nikola: Take a guess Ivan: Fine? Nikola: You haven't guessed!!
Ok, I'll be a total girl... "Notting Hill" Julia Roberts comes to see Hugh Grant, at his bookstore. Julia: "After all, I'm just a girl , standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her." And from the movie that has made me laugh the hardest, ever..."Elf" Buddy to Santa: You sit on a throne of lies.
Dirty Harry "I know what you're thinkin, did he fire 6 shots or only 5, well in all this excitement i myself forgot. But being that this is a .44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and could blow your head clean off. So you gotta ask yourself one question. Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
dead/alive, when theyre in the graveyard and the priest comes running out to find the guy being cornered by the zombies. he jumps down, gets in his kung fu pose and utters: "I kick ass for the lord" and continues to beat the shit out of them ala bruce lee

Because it's the season, in 'Halloween' when Jamie Lee Curtis and Nancy Loomis are driving around town smokin' a joint, they run into Nancy Loomis' father who is sheriff of Haddonfield. Jamie Lee Curtis gets (understandably) paranoid and Nancy Loomis keeps telling her, "Okay, just act natural, just act natural!"
"Their all dead..they just don't know it yet.." form "The Crow" but this movie has a lot of awesome scenes/lines Oh i'm so obsessed by this movie.. too much for my own good I guess..
My favorite quotes from a movie are in What's Eating Gilbert Grape when Gilbert is narrating at the first of the movie about Arnie and he says, "Some days you want him to live...and some days you don't," then when he goes on to tell about their town and says, "Describing Endora is like dancing to no music," and then when he's tucking Arnie in and tells him goodnight and Arnie says goodbye and Gilbert replies with, "No, it's not goodbye. It's goodnight. Goodbye is for when you're going somewhere, and we're not going anywhere." That line in itself is so symbolic of the entire movie. Ha, I think that's the only movie I've seen so much that I practically memorized it, lol. Guess that shows how much I love it.
The Doors(1991): Pamela: You actually put your dick in this woman? Jim Morrison: Well... sometimes, yeah.
oh ya: Help!(1965) Ringo: There's more here than meets the eye! George: Ho ho. John: Ho. George: Ho ho. John: Ho. George: Ho ho ho John: Ho ho! George: Ho ho. John: Huh ho.
I believe that my favorite scene from a movie would be from "Almost Famous" when William (Patrick Fugit) and Penny Lane (Kate Hudson) are standing outside the concert hall after meeting for the first time. PL: "I've made up my mind. I'm going to live in Morroco for one year. Do you want to come with me?" and stumbles with a response saying "ask me again" this scene is one of my all time favorites and Cameron Crowe said it was just a fluke. He didn't think he had said it correctly and really was asking Kate to say her line again...but it came out perfect. I just love everything about that damn movie. I think it's beautiful, and such an absolutely wonderful coming of age story.
My favorite? It's from Empire Records...see my signature...character Lucas quoted it after spending all his boss's money gambling.
while i would like to put the entire This Is Spinal Tap script in here, i wont. however, an excerpt: interviewer: "This tasteless cover is a good indication of the lack of musical invention within. the musical growth of this band cannot even be charted. they are treading water in a sea of retarded sexuality and bad poetry." nigel: "thats just nitpicking, isnt it?"
don juan de marco "...now i must die..." - don juan (or whoever)/johnny depp subURbia "FUUUCK!!" - jeff/giovanni ribisi dead man "stupid fucking white man." - nobody/gary farmer dances with wolves "lets smoke awhile." - ten bears/floyd 'red crow' westerman waking life "we have got to realize that we're being conditioned on a mass scale. start challenging this corporate slave state." - bullhorning guy/alex jones waking life "the idea is to remain in a state of constant departure while always arriving." - boat car guy/bill wise
Marv: There's no settling down. It's going to be blood for blood and by the gallons. It's the old days. The bad days. The all-or-nothing days. They're back. There's no choice left. And I'm ready for war. -Sin City
