I have never yet met a person who will admit to liking radio morning shows. So where are all these people that supposedly want to listen to that obnoxious crap? I personally detest them. Of course radio is generally annoying anyway, but morning shows are the worst. I listen to the radio at work and I am so happy because there is now a classic rock station that is proud of not having a morning show or any annoying DJ to drone on about pointless drivel at anytime. I love it.
I totally hate them! It's like, my morning already sucks, because I had to wake up, and now I have to listen to a bunch or redneck idiots chatter back and forth about a bunch of bullshit! And then they always have a chick on the show that doesn't do anything but read the occasional news report and laugh really loud at all their jokes. I hate Bob and Tom. Play a damn song!
Ah! I hate Bob and Tom too! They are so annoying. I never thought about the girl being there to laugh at their stupid jokes, but that is totally all that the girl every does.
Morning radio shows drive me up the freakin wall!! Mark and Brian are funny sometimes, but what the hell, I would much rather listen to freakin music than listen to a bunch of jibberish bullshit on almost every good radio station. Radio shows irritate the shit outta me.
I am so glad that I am not the only person that is majorly bothered by them. I thought maybe I was just being an angry person
if and when i happen to listen to a morning show, its a sports one. i can't listen to any other type of talk-radio. sports radio in the morning comes on once in a blue moon, so i don't listen to it that often. other than the sports, i hate the others.
Well, the local, news-oriented "wake up" shows are of course very lame. As far as real morning talk-radio, I used to listen to Howard Stern. Unfortunately, because of the fascists at the FCC, they stopped airing his show in Ro-cha-cha following the incident several months back. He is coming back on another station, fortunately.
I'll tune into Stern if I'm in the car on the way somewhere - don't really listen to too much radio at home if at all for that matter. Stern has been the only one who I've ever really listened to though. When I went to college I lived a good 45 minutes away, so it kinda lightened my morning listening to him on the way in.
Don't misunderstand me, I have no problem with actual talk radio. My problem is with shows that are on a station that is supposed to be playing music. I personally don't like talk radio either though. I find talk radio hosts to be condescending in general and I just don't like listening to information, I'd rather read it. Occasionally I'll listen to shows on NPR though.
I'm really not into talk radio that much - there's only one talk radio show I listen to. I listen to Air America's "Unfiltered" on the 'net mainly because I want to hear Chuck D (Some shows he doesn't say anything worthwhile). Now that I think of it, I remember when I was living back home in the States, in the mornings, I occasionally listened to a radio talk host named Tom Joyner, and his shows are quite interesting. Actually, I'm glad I don't listen to radio talk show so much - I've probably wasted a lot of time in my life doing nothing but listening to talk radio (mostly sports talk radio).
I admit i used to REALLY like this one radio morning show (though here it aired 11:18pm-3:00am) and lots of people probly thought it was stupid and abnoxious but it was like my own little world i would live in for about 4 hours and it made me so happy.. i even cried when it was cancelled.... but it was cancelled for a good reason...they were laughing at this Dude being executed... i dont know why either... oh well.. and the theme song.. I Loved that! and theyd write their own little songs and yeah.. the theme song was like "Here we go on the Marconi show, on the Radio, just so you know" yeah.. i guess maybe it was dumb.. but man.. yeah...
I love Bob & Tom. Hah, I just found out last year that they were broadcast all over the country. I used to think it was only in Indianapolis, since that's where they're based.
