yeah. sure why not. I mean if your ready there is no reason not to. You can take your SAT later if it is needed. It also keeps the schools of your back . No more tests. I have been meaning to take mine for awhile now. I get nervous and second guess my answers to much
aah... i just want to be done with high school the way things are going now, im gonna end up failing this whole year or getting expelled or something... i also cant stand this town anymore or the people... and so i just want to be able to get into some college out of this state sooner than later...
Common reasons for GED recipients not having received a high school diploma include immigration to the United States or Canada, homeschooling, and leaving high school early due to a lack of interest, the inability to pass required tests, or personal problems. hah
Im gettin my GED. studying for it online and shit. I was never really the high school type of person. I missed more days than I went. Its not that I had a problem with the work, i just had no interest whatsoever in going or waking up that damn early aha. So yeah, if you think thats whats best for you then do it. Just get ur GED and then take your SATs (they only do those on a couple days outta the schoolyear so ya gotta get ur timing right) and then go to college. If you get ur GED now and take the SATs at the end of the schoolyear then u can be in college by nxt year...thats what im doing. Im not saying that its the right choice, Im just sayin that if you think its the right decision for you then go for it.
Thats me But back on topic. Ummm... hmm. Get one if you feel like it, I say. I will probably end up getting one and my dad is going to be all up in my grille about it
just do what you think is right for you. i think the whole idea of "your not an adult until your 18" is bullshit anyways, whos to say when someone is an adult and when someones not. You should decide what you want, not what others want for you to do...society...bleh...
I'm getting mine, just passed the pre-tests for it. Worked a full time job without any diploma and now have decided to just get my GED.
im turning 16 this month. i do have to drop out of high school, dont i? how do i get my parents to agree to let me do so?
the worst thing they could do is kick you out, but if they are good parents, they should respect your decision to drop out and get a GED. I dont know your parents, so i dont know how they will react... i would just tell them that you know what you are doing is right for you, and if you are forced to keep going to that school, then you will run away, or start doing heroin, and what not...the basic things parents dont wanna hear when i told my mom that i wanted to drop out of college, i just told her "mom, im way to depressed living there, and i cant stand anything...if i keep going there, then i will most likely fail all my classes, and just be more behind in life."
it's different in nevada so my experience might not be universal here if you get above x score you can use it as a credit waiver for most courses, so I walked away just having to take 2 classes at night, so basically, it's fucking magic for me..... other people may have had other experiences, but it was easy shit for me.....
its not like after taking the GED you are giving up school. you are just giving up on high school. you can still keep studying at home and continue on to college
i just intend to be as wasted at skool as often as i can i try not to worry about things like my future, just take it as it comes
I got mine, and it's worked out superlatively thus far. I didn't use the word superlatively much before I got it. Suck on that public schools. But yeah, if you think it's best for you, go for it. I don't know about your parents, just tell 'em how you feel. If you wanna go to a uni you might have togo to community college for a year first. I didn't study for it in any form and aced it, and I'm not that smart, so don't worry too much about the test. My advice is if you do it, comeup with a good plan for what you're going to do after that. It'll probably help you talk your 'rents into it to. Good luck.
A GED is a test u can take when ur 16 to get outta high school earlier SATs are test u have to take to determine if you go to college or not (higher score you get, better colleges you can go to) GPA is grade point average. Total ur grades up, divide by how many grades there were and bam, you got the GPA. And you have to have a set amout of credits to graduate from high school. Different high schools have different #s of credits u have to get. My old high school was 24. Every semester of a class is worth half a credit, so a whole year of the class would eqaul one. Yeah, you brits have it easy with the whole schooling thing...:H
