I just heard of the book, How To Go Further. Anyone read this? I don't know the author but I guess it's based on the documentary called Go Further, starring Woody Harrelson and friends who take a bike ride along the Pacific Coast (from Seattle to Santa Barbara?) talking to people about organic living and alternative energy sources. I heard about it from watching an interview with Woody on Letterman. I hardly ever watch that show and I just "happened" to catch the interview with Woody and am really excited to read that book. Has anyone heard of it or even read it?

Thanks for replying Kayte! I thought about watching the documentary. I broke down yesterday and bought the book. So far, I haven't been able to put it down! I already recommend it to any hippie or anyone who truly cares about the environment!

How to Go Further: A Guide to Simple Organic Living

Woody Harrelson, Ron Mann, Francis Condron

I hate to say it but I thought it was a little superficial. Yes it all would be wonderful but kind of dodged the social issues.

So far, I don't think it's that superficial (I've already read half the book in 4 days). There may be other books that go more in depth about the issues but for a book that goes into so many issues, and finds a good way to write about them (easily understandable and interesting) I find the book to be quite inspiring. I also liked reading about the journey that they took on their bikes and that they actually turned it into something more than a vacation.

it sounds intersting, the bike ride, just on the same trail I'd love to travel on someday (mine would be a little longer, from Vancouver to Baja California..),the organic living.

by the way, what does it mean, by your opinion, organic living?
